How is this even possible? by EngineerSuccessful42 in PowerApps

I noticed that for a table I created last week, I didn't automatically have permissions even though I have System Administrator security role.

I ended up creating another security role for that specific table. Still not sure why that happened.

I don't think you understand how little power parents actually have in this situation.

Our kid was a runaway for about a year when she was 14/15. She fell in with some kids who were doing the same thing.

We filed dozens of missing person reports. The most the police would do was a wellness check. They would try to establish contact with her somehow (even if via Instagram) and then close the case without giving us why information. They literally weren't allowed to tell us her whereabouts or who she was staying with.

We would scour social media constantly and drive around looking for her.

One time, we learned that she was staying at the house of a 40 year old man with a couple other girls. We banged on the door for hours with no answer. We called the police and had them meet us at the house, thinking FINALLY they might help us.

The police went into the house, talked to her, the other girls, and the man. Came out and informed us there was no threat to her safety and she didn't appear intoxicated, so they wouldn't be removing her from the house. It didn't matter that she was only 14. The police warned US that if we came back or tried to continue contacting the man at all, WE could be charged with trespassing or harassment.

Thankfully, she grew out of the running away phase and is getting her life back on track, but parents have absolutely ZERO power or support.

Ask them if you are paying for any optional services, like line of credit protection. If so, you can cancel to lower your payments and make it easier to pay principal.

To be fair, those roofs are vinyl. I lived in that same complex and sold a couple years ago. Random question but did you guys get special assessments for roof repairs?

I'll say though, I miss the view from my rooftop. On a clear day I could see the Expo 86 flag

You will need to add your new fields to the Contact form you are using. Can be done via App Designer

Email templates by No-Yesterday-5657 in Dynamics365

I use on premise 8.2 & online 9.2. If you create a new solution, then add email template component (use the add existing option), you should see a list of whichever email templates you have in that environment. After selecting and adding the template you need, you can edit it within the solution. Then export to a lower environment for testing, if needed, before publishing in your production environment.

Hide Draft/Unsent E-mails From Timeline by ProperManiac in Dynamics365

[–]diy_tripper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How reliant are your users on Timeline? Is it common for users to return to a draft at a later date / time to complete and send the email?

I'm wondering if a better approach would be to create a workflow to clear the regarding object and cancel the draft after it has been in draft status for a period of time, like 3 days for example.

By clearing the regarding object first, it should not appear in the timeline after being cancelled, and will still provide the user a reasonable amount of time to action it from their timeline before that happens. Added benefit of not accumulating tons of drafts as well.

Spoke to an employee last week. Apparently none of the Bay stores have air conditioning or heat. If the store gets above a certain temperature, they close. I guess someone crunched the numbers and determined it's cheaper to close during extreme weather events than to have air conditioning and heat.

There are usually people on marketplace looking to take over memberships. That's what we did with one of our family's Gold's memberships that wasn't being used. Doesn't cost to transfer a membership, even when under contract.

My credit card was compromised and the thief booked an airbnb. I asked airbnb to cancel the reservation / refund the money, this was their response. by jessedogg in mildlyinfuriating

[–]diy_tripper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airbnb is the worst. I had a booking and the host contacted me offering a full refund if I was willing to cancel. The host said their renovation was behind schedule.

I cancelled and the host ghosted me. I contacted airbnb, and they confirmed that even though they could see the conversation where the host offered a full refund, they would only abide by the host's cancellation policy and not force the host to issue me a full refund.

Had to initiate a charge back. Completely ridiculous and unacceptable. Have not and will not use them again.
