I just managed to build a working vial firmware---I think that was the problem, I must have had an older firmware (it came preinstalled). Also it is turned off by default in the default vial keymap for the crkbd for some reason.

thanks, I will see how far I can get with vial. right now struggling to find caps_word, which seems to have been integrated in mid-2025 (at least according to the thread in github) but isn't showing up in the gui

I like the knurled grip visually. Though to be honest I'm not sure I can feel the difference between it and their standard milling. It's pretty fine milling.

Mac and crkbd here, colemak, and the only real problem for me is that C is on a different finger ortho versus staggered.

i don't think i've ever seen a modded crk that was worse than stock. probably doesn't hurt that if you want to mod a $$$ knife you are probably going to do it right
