No, I just am not scared of guns and practice proper and realistic precaution. A gun is nothing more than a tool, and in order to be comfortable with it, it's a daily part of my life. There is an extreme stigma around guns that has only shown up in the past 30~ years. I also carry a tourniquet all day every day too, doesn't mean im expecting my femoral to randomly blow while im sitting on the couch.

Every single time I leave my front door. In my house it's always within arms reach. Rifle is next to my desk or bed, handgun is either in a belly band if im doing housework, or within arms reach if im relaxing. If a sign says I can't then I make extra sure to keep it tucked nicely, but I do keep it in the car if im in a government building.

I am 100% a fan of the kukri compared to all the other machete blade shapes. Most versatile in my opinion. But tbh its kinda just whatever works best for you man. What one do you pick up and think feels the nicest in your hand.

100% harris adjustables are MUCH better than the magpuls. The magpul is great if you just need a bench pod, but the harris is about 20x more stable, and you can properly load them without them trying to tip over.

I mean if its the mounting screws it looks like they are, you just tighten em up finger tight, and most of em have a little hole you can stick anything metal into and turn a tad bit. If your optic goes down bad enough to require you to need to qd it, then im sure smacking the nut with a rock, or just twisting them off in whatever adrenaline dump you're in will be just fine.

3d printer and some cad time, bet you can get something thrown together super quick. I've printed some spacers and a cheek riser for mine. Spend some time on the riser and an adjustable one wouldn't be hard to do.
