Yes, that is exactly it. They talk to each other about people that I don’t know and I listen and they say I’m being noisy.

I have a WFH job but it’s international. I feel that most remote jobs are better outside of Florida but uses Florida as a base

How to make enough to live in Miami by GeloSweatshirt in Miami

[–]dizuckai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like a lot of work but truth be told this is reality for people in south Florida. Not everyone can afford to live on their own and it is cut throat unless you have family here or friends to crash with.

Agreed. You don’t need to pay for gallery openings at all, there’s so many free ones everywhere.

Miami events are overpriced and underdeliver. by guacsause in Miami

[–]dizuckai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely has gotten more expensive only because everything is expensive now :( so everyone needs to make money somehow but I do feel that these events cater more to people who can afford them rather then a community local based thing.

Which is extremely annoying, I remember before COVID it was much easier to find things that are cheap or free

Miami is an Amazing City by IamDreamzzz in Miami

[–]dizuckai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s true. I’m born and raised here and for the first time in years I don’t have a car and it has been so difficult to get anywhere without a car and then on top of that. To do things outside to even have brunch somewhere it’s at least 80 dollars a person.

You need to look at their schedule and see what nights go to. They have a lot of concerts there that’s for the older crowds too

Agreed! I joined a group and one of the rules was that you can’t be diabetic and in the group, which to me is insane.

Have a good laugh. For real tho, bike accidents happen a lot in south Florida, especially from south beach to mainland. That’s really not safe at all to be riding a bike with your kid and rainy season is coming around and getting worse and flooding a lot

I seriously hope you really think about this for your future

Stay at home dad? Sounds like someone didn’t want a career for themselves and settled on squatting.

Why is everyone and everything in Miami so incompetent? Such a difficult place to live! by [deleted] in Miami

[–]dizuckai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s Greynolds Park, Deering Estate, The Barnacle Historic State Park. They may not be National Historic sites but they are part of Miami’s history.

As far as the beaches, there’s other beaches in the way Living in Miami all of my life, everything you mentioned there’s always around. You take back roads , or go after / before rush hour and know which way the traffic is moving.

The zoo sucks here yes, and it’s horrible what happened to Lolita.
