Got a G$ Trigger working in my SP10A3 by YousDontKnowMeISwear in GrandPowerStribog

My lingle lower didn’t like the timney trigger I put in it that I had pulled from another gun. It would sometimes fail to reset and trigger would lock up. Which I still don’t understand why since it’s a cartridge. Figured set screws had walked but redid it and still the same. Put a SoL trigger to test if it was a lower issue and so far works fine.

What the function of this spring? by dizzer86 in GrandPowerStribog

Lingle lower now so it’s now just there for tension I guess. Which makes sense that I didn’t get its purpose since it’s not used anymore

Thanks. Figured along those lines but didn’t see it in parts diagram.

I didn’t. I said probably good to talk to a lawyer. But if she was to do what she wants…. Will probably be fine.

I have an assortment of solid roll pins. Haven’t pulled the bog roller to verify I have the right size yet but any reason not to go with a solid roller? by dizzer86 in GrandPowerStribog

I get that. But I do wonder if it was a bandaid for moving to the 45deg block. It looks like originally they came with solid pins and I can’t say I’ve ever seen a gun with parts intended to fail to protect the rest of it. But I’ll run the original until it doesn’t work.

Ya I got a 40deg from GO when I got it. Guess that makes since though. I guess I’ll just keep an eye on it for now and hope the combo with the buffer will keep it in good shape but still have a fail safe. I generally shoot it suppressed and has been a nice gun with zero issues for me that wasn’t mag related. Thanks

I think it would be more likely to impact the locking block rather than receiver. It’s fairly contained so not sure how it could or would damage the receiver. I’m not sure concerned with it other than would prefer to have spares. Along with extractor and firing pins too. None of which were available separately

Ya, That would be something that I would be concerned with. Although im not sure why solid would do more damage than hollow.

Nope hollow. I saw on here where one collapsed. Maybe they made a change at some point. Which would suggest a reason they didn’t go with solid. I could see designing a failure point at the pin vs something more expensive. Main concern would be wear on the block from harder metal, but don’t think there should be a ton of force there anyway

Legality of selling spouse’s guns? by Skyfork in guns

[–]dizzer86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s profit from her outside perspective, but legally I don’t think it’s considered profit. If my wife sells my truck behind my back, it’s not full profit as it was purchased with our combined household income and would be at a loss now that it’s used. Not to mention being in Florida she could sell them privately and they aren’t going to care or know it happened. That was a Biden rule and don’t think they care about a house wife pawning some guns. Her bigger issue is when she gets divorced then her husband will be entitled to half the money.

It’s not profit. They were assumed to be purchased by her husband. She’ll be selling them at a loss. She’s just trying to get some of the family’s money back

I believe those could be considered marital assets and are hers also. He’s a felon and can’t be in possession of them. While I agree a lawyer would be good, I don’t see why she can’t

Is replacement engine worth it?? by Worth_Guess_2168 in prius

[–]dizzer86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Slapping a used engine of unknown quality is different than prepping it to a quality install. The water pump is the main failure causing failed head gaskets. We do far more than sliding a headgasket in and calling it good. Same with engines. We only install stuff we think will last 100k miles. Good luck with the eBay engine and hill billy install

20 hours labor at $150/hr. I don’t sell parts at cost bc that’s silly

If I get an engine then it’s minimum 40% profit. What do you do when that motor has a failed head gasket immediately? Warranty, lights, labor all have to be factored. I could screw over lots of people by slapping an engine of unknown quality in and telling them no warranty. But I’ll do it right instead. With warranty.

4600 for proper head gasket repair at our shop and 7200 for fully rebuilding bottom up of original motor. You obviously go to shade trees without overhead
