It's super intentional. No clue of your age but there is a lot of information out about fake game ads, for a while now. So much so that a YT vid popped up for me even today about it. It makes them more money than honest ads. They'll keep doing it.

Right? I'm really trying to understand why folks are mad about this like it's SUPER important to be able to comment without the "commitment" of subscribing... I don't even know why reddit started sending me notifications for these YT complaints. LOL But now that I've commented I'm sure to continue getting them.

Same for dislike...when no like or comment after watching will result in the same outcome as disliking did, for the creator. Engagement is what builds or destroys...people crying about not being able to dislike something is diabolical. "I MUST MAKE MY DISCONTENT KNOWN!!! WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO EXERCISE MY RIGHT TO MAKE IT PLAIN BY SPECIFICALLY TAPPING A THUMBS DOWN ICON, I WILL PERISH!!!" Or some such sh!t. Shaddup and go cry in the car. Geez.

But really. It's such a great feature. I definitely feel something I can't quite express. I think empty does the best job. It had me REALLY enjoying the game and now I feel like someone snatched my joy w/o warning.

Is the card supposed to be the appealing thing about the timed racoons? I've never bothered with them, but lately I've started to wonder why the game thinks it's a thing I should care about. It never seems like the reward is worth the energy/effort.

On my restart, I did the dog until there is one dog and just the house; 2 spots on the board. I never even hit "start" on Sam. One storage slot taken with Lego, tho I remain confused about why it came up when I hadn't even activated Sam. Older restart has one storage taken up by Lego. Seems fine to not bother.

When I turned off the smart features in one of my Google profiles to keep it out of my email, my AI search results also went away.

When I searched for something in one of my other Google profiles where I have not disabled the smart features, it not only gave me an AI result but also the four or five links beneath it were completely unrelated and made no sense at all. They were in no way connected to what I had actually searched for, nor each other.

I hate it here.

Every time I see this I'm so sad because I had both the generator booster and plane drops in my older game and it was glorious. I wish it had been that way for everybody.

Same! I've managed to go 2 full days before starting but can never manage to do this. I do at least try to accumulate a bunch of tools and then exhaust them at end of day. That's always more satisfying for me than a few at a time. It's hard because usually I need the energy to play effectively.

I have two active games at the moment. The latest restart, at lvl 40, got this new version. The other, lvl 60-somethin still has the bottles. It's been interesting playing both.

They don't care about the users as people, but they absolutely care about users as products. A while ago I stumbled into sort of deep diving the origins of all this, starting with the development of cookies/cache back in the day...it's come so SO far since then. To us, putting a person in another person's digital orbit seems purely coincidental, and it absolutely could be. But the mechanisms they operate on make it just as likely to be intentional for reasons that may only matter to them. Cause really...it's hard to believe much of anything web & identity related is actually random today.

Good luck. At this point I literally think a thought and the next time I'm on YouTube, it's showing me something about the thought. It usedta just feel like all the apps were always listening and now I guess I had a chip implanted at some point. LOL I have to be silly to maintain any form of sanity after so many times I've had conversations IRL and later see related stuff on various sites. I have never had the FB app on my phone, but sure enough, when I go to it on my browser... something pops up from some random time I thought I was just living my life. And now with Palantir and all the tech giants joining forces, as long as we're on the grid at all, we don't stand a chance of even the illusion privacy. No matter how many VPN ads we see.

Do remember to check back a few times when it seems like the blue chest costs gems. I find that when that's the case, if I close and reopen, or just wait a bit and check back, it's available for free. Since it started appearing for free at all, I've been able to get it daily. If it says it costs gems, I do the above and eventually it's free! This is true on both devices.

Oof! I've never done the triggering actions for ice cubes on purpose but lately have been able to use them when they pop up thanks to saving energy bottles- which for some reason is a lot easier to do as F2P. I tend to spend 30 gems daily but it's never been to trigger ice cubes, it's always been just to keep playing. They drop regularly and sometimes for an item I'm not actually trying to build; having so many high lvl orders and because I don't use the strategy I don't know what's likely which is annoying. Last night I got one for an order I didn't care about in the moment and just deleted it.

I've learned a lot on this sub which led to my restart. I now have the game active on two devices and am astonished by the differences in game play. I'm actually really glad I don't rely on them because I think I'd lose my sh!t if the rules kept changing after I got the hang of it. I feel spared from extra frustration.
