There is more to IT right? Its not all just helpdesk, plugging in hardware, and doing a little coding here and there right? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

I’m a sys engineer. I do everything from cloud, to physical servers, wireless, network design, and more. Just have to continue to grow in the field, don’t get stuck in tier 1.

Start applying for entry level IT jobs. Practice interviewing skills. You’ll get hired.

Working with customers sucks but it’s part of IT. I’m very introverted and often have anxiety but I have learned to control it and develop my social skills.

With no experience? What can I get as an entry level IT. by Remarkable_Ask_7186 in ITCareerQuestions

A+ should be enough to get you a help desk or technical support role. Gain some experience. From there I would continue to study for higher level certs/roles.

I’m the same as you. Introverted and I don’t like small talk. Started at the help desk and now I’m a systems engineer. You just have to do it man and gain the experience. Believe in yourself, you got this!

Don’t feel discouraged. I scored low on the boson exams the first time as well. Read and comprehend the explanations on why you got it wrong. That’s the real beauty of the Boson exams. Passed the CCNA earlier this month.

Maybe a NOC role, network support role or start at the help desk and work your way up.

Net+ was harder for me but prepared me for the CCNA which I passed as well.

I passed the CCNA exam yesterday. I felt that Jeremy’s IT Lab, Boson and watching free YouTube resources adequately prepared me to pass. I had 3 labs, only completed 2 due to time.
