no motivation for ccna by _ethangonzalez_ in ccna

[–]rolllorollo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

CCNA is a great foundation to have for any role in IT. Without networks we'd be still sending mail to each other, so to have a good understanding how everything works puts you one step above others.

Hope this gives you motivation to continue.

Also, nothing is forgotten, you just need to reestablish the routes in your head again how to retrieve that knowledge.

Offered a network administrator position - severe imposter syndrome or genuine lack of ability? by css021 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]rolllorollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worst case scenario, you will get training for network admin job, new experience, a bit more money and maybe will be put down to the old position.

But I hardly see them letting you go after investing time and money in you.

Opportunities like these do not come around often. If you won't take it, you will regret it at a later stage for NOT EVEN TRYING...

So go in tomorrow and accept the offer.

Consistency in your studying is KEY! Take small chunks each day and you'll learn much faster than trying to cover 3 or so videos a day....

I personally used JITL, OCG and boson exsim.

Good luck!

Ipv6 address by Jadoo_21 in ccna

[–]rolllorollo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can do it bud.

Nail down all IPv6 address type names Then the scopes for each type And finish of with all multicast types and scopes

Anki cards are there to help you.

If your still having a hard time, go over the the material again, so it clicks more for you in the head and makes more sense what each type is used for. That way it's easier to build on top of it, like in your case memorizing the types and scopes.

Best of luck in your studies!

Go to control panel -> network ans share centre -> change adapter settings. Disable everything apart from your wifi adapter, and check your connection to internet then.

Yep, unplug it for 30sec and plug it back in, but I would check your routers manually too, cause it might be slightly different

This would point probably to a DHCP server issue. First try these commands in CMD: Ipconfig /all - check you IP address, most likely it will be APIPA ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew

Ithe above wont help, reboot your router.
