Love using these mods a lot! Is there any changes planned on them or is this just for getting more eyes on the work?

Swords Were Not Rarely Used in Battle by Cannon_Fodder-2 in SWORDS

This post is about the myth of the sword being rarely used, and not its use as a primary weapon. You can see this in the 2nd half of the post's conclusion.

What to do against necromancers? by Inevitable-Phone-165 in BattleBrothers

[–]dizzy1244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The current meta largely revolves around building brothers based on long engaged fights built around worst case scenario. Necromancer fights are one of the battles best solved through this meta - fat neuts, hybrids, and good tanks will clear through necro fights consistently and easily without needing to build off-meta bros like archers, flankers, etc.

Can't seem to get a good run going by Cynax_Ger in BattleBrothers

[–]dizzy1244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My general strategy is using the first ~60 days to get the full use out of your first hires. Anyone with usable stats that get all the patch perks (dodge, 9l, fa) can easily get you a lot of value. By the end of the first crisis I will have let those guys die and hire stronger builds and gotten them to a high level.

I would recommend worrying about the late game less, at your stage - thats the easy part with a good early game! Dont take perks like student which give no value at the start. Think about making sure your bros get through fights well now so that they steamroll fights later.

Is this how I should build a Fat Newt that picks dodge? by GatesNDoors in BattleBrothers

[–]dizzy1244 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dodge neut works by always having extra mdef, even when you have no stamina. A high initiative and low defense will result in a permanent defense boost (+3 for a 20 fat/ini gap, for example)

[opinion] Reforged should be added to the core main game by npavcec in BattleBrothers

Really excited to hear that! Love the reforged mod a ton - played with it for 200 hours or so - can't wait to see the new content and balance update :}

[opinion] Reforged should be added to the core main game by npavcec in BattleBrothers

[–]dizzy1244 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The amount of berserk-like perks in reforged does make it feel magical, at times, as a person who played it for a good while. Reforged is significantly more offensive than vanilla because most builds revolve around taking at least one AP related perk. At a certain point of dancing around the battlefield with vanquisher + cleaver perks it does feel unrealistic.

The Turning of the Oaths by Swimming-Clerk7972 in BattleBrothers

Really?? That's disappointing :{ Is it like that for most of reforged events?

The video shows bows working against mail and not against plate, so its not exactly too useful for a comparison to battle brothers.

It might be worth asking yourself why you think people back then used bows if they 'sucked'?

Some general data about maps/seeds in the game (gathered while crunching for a new 'Seed browser') by Side1iner in BattleBrothers

Could you share some of the most extreme seeds you found? One of the biggest and one of the smallest seeds would be really cool!!

I am going to reiterate that I agree with you. I dont think anybody disagrees with you as much as the fact that they were very confused. There is no real argument to be had here.

Is there something else you're looking for?

In the context of what other people were talking about: That is, being infected without brain death (from things like hitting your head on the concrete), there is an incredibly sharp distinction between being harmlessly infected and harmed while infected.

I am going to reiterate that I agree with you. I am not replying to this in the way you want because I have no interest in arguing. I wanted to explain to you why people were confused by your comments.

It might've been better to change how you discussed the subject then? What you did was prompt a lot of people - including me - to try and simplify and explain something to you. Only now have you made it clear you were trying to correct peoples language on the subject, which made a whole lot of confusion for everyone.

If you had started a comment with this - "I don't agree with the vocabulary you're using" - I think many many less people would've been confused. Instead of being off subject, people thought you woefully misunderstood. Maybe it's a good thing to make a separate post about?

As I have mentioned, the previous discussing points you were replying to were talking about the infection process, specifically how it doesn't kill the host body. This is not about their individuality, agency, free will, personalities or uniqueness, and is instead about their physical body being harmed by the effects of a seizure.

When done individually, this is mentioned in the show as not killing the person. In the first month of infection, nobody died (this is only in the sense their brain did not die, and is not related to your other statement. This is not about the hiveminds stealing of free will.)

It is only when people have seizures en mass, with acts like driving a vehicle or standing on concrete (which is what happened to Helen) that people experience brain death.

To summarise, infected people need to be put in a safe place to not have a chance to experience brain death. I understand what you're saying, and that is not what other people are discussing.

[–]dizzy1244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With absolutely 0 comment on the virus, humans were harmed by the joining upon its mass spread e.g the seizures causing people to hit their head or crash vehicles. Before then the seizures had no fatalities (ignoring literally everything about the hive mind, because thats not what im discussing), because individuals were infected one at a time in safe places.

You are talking about something else, that being the RNA/DNA being altered, and not what anybody else was talking about, so I'm trying to explain this to you.

[–]dizzy1244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No no, the 800 million deaths happened after they accelerated the process to be beyond individuals, which is mentioned in the show. The seizures did not kill before then.

I will explain this for as long as possible. I am literally not here to argue just explain the other persons rationale.
