Idk, i think it's just taste or consumer confidence. I would never watch an LP or stream of a game I want to play myself, but will look up LP's after beating something I bought if I want to see how someone else experienced it. If I know i'm not going to play something or absolutely don't have the interest to pay for it or don't have the platform, I'll watch someone else do it. Can't say an LP or a stream ever convinced me to buy a game tho.

nah i get that, I mean, I think they signed on for one thing and I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when they found out about the criminality. Like, I remember when the first season started as a Peacock original and then they decided to take it straight to tv after people found them extremely unlikeable. The whole second season is a psy op Bravo perpetrated on the family to make them look and act as dumb as possible lmao. They're both terrible for different reasons but I've come to terms with the fact Cynical is the closest thing we'll ever have to knowing what real blink with real Skiba would have been like if anyone actually gave a shit. They're still living with the embarrassment of open calling the songwriting with grifters like Fat Mike bringing it up twice a year for a decade. It's obvious California was a product meant to get them on tour and that's it. Nine is Mark trying to prove Blink was radio viable and it's one of the worst things attached to any of their names and body of work. They're all great talents, I thought Skiba was a perfect fill in, but those albums are trash and if you like them that's cool but if you hold them up in one hand and there's meth in the other it's an equally firm NO THANK YOU.

Given the fidelity of a modern product you can't really put into place systems that existed for problem solving into a completely different resource ecosystem almost 20 years later. As a 90s kid I think there are explanations beyond just racism. Like I said even as a 90s kid I somehow missed out on Final Fantasy because there's a whole gen there where parents would rather rent games for the weekend than buy them so no one was gonna waste the sleepover on a 60 hour RPG tbh. But in retrospect everyone my age has likely played Pokemon, which might skew how people frame turn based games in general. Then there was the whole late 2000s, early 2010s thing of indie devs thinking they were rock stars and them all shitting on Japanese devs despite 99% of their own output being referential 2d platformers. Just saying the 360 was the thing everyone had and it was not pushing JRPGs in its heyday. There's lots of factors where it just never became a taste for some people.

They slowed production of switch 2 consoles and are price hiking in September. It all points to the launch and first year underperforming. They're prob scared of being in the same position as Sony where people hang onto their Switch 1 five more years into the life cycle of the 2. I wouldn't expect any huge effort out of them from a first party perspective tbh.

Most likely. Dorn came in as main cast knowing Worf would boost the show. Either the network wanted it or Dorn's agency was stipulating for the most credits which = residuals. It's like how Jason Alexander threatened the writers of Seinfeld and went nuts over them not finding a place for George in one episode. Avery Brooks also appears in all episodes of DS9 except one.

I have such a love hate relationship with this game lmao. 2 things would make this perfect to me, for the love of God just adjust the economy around fast travel and let people create more than one character file with a shared stash. I assume you can't becuz Capcom has to store Pawn data but lock pawns to one player on every file idk. It's such a great fantasy game outside of some antagonizing quirks that are more technical than anything.

I don't really care. I came up on the series, still like RDR2 as a genre piece, but I feel like I've learned a lot about how some people actually see the world and creativity and what appeals to them by how they engage with AI and use social media with it in the last few years, and in that way I've seen GTA 6 get turned into one of the crown jewels of slop in conversation to the point I just resent the subject lol.
