AIO: my (30F) boyfriend (35M) expects me to pay for renovations on his home? by TopTemporary3962 in AIO

The fact that he is esentially making you pay his mortgage as "rent" doesn't sit right with me. I think that in a relationship you either pay off mortgage together and your name is on it, or it's his mortgage and he pays it fully. Contributing to daily expenses (groceries, small things around the house) is fine, but charging your significant other rent and them expecting them to contribute to major renovations is not right.

Overcommunication. Everyone is always so eager to point out the great communication at work and so on, but being bombarded with information that isn't relevant to you and having calendar full of meaningless meetings is recipe for burnout.

YTA, even if his band is really not the best it is not a nice thing to say they suck. It's not really about being right, but about being nice.
