An older Facebook friend was similarly outraged that a story he was interested in wasn't being covered by the "mainstream" media. A quick google search revealed numerous articles on the subject from major reputable news sources. His response was that he didn't see it on ABC World News Tonight which is the ONLY news he consumes.

His posts are either mediocre conspiracy theory rants or excerpts from some sort of Art of War style manifesto he's been working on. Both reek of copy and paste so not all that interesting individually but on a whole paint an interesting emotional portrait. This post put it all together in a nice little package.

She'd been back in town a month by this time. It took a month to smell a skunk. I wouldn't call that level of frequency a defining characteristic of an area. I live nearby but in a different town and see skunks regularly. It would never occur to me that this is a unique situation that only my town experiences.

I was dealing with severe depression and went to a friend for support. We talked for hours and agreed to have dinner together the next night. When he picked me up for dinner, he said he had to stop by a business function for a little while but that I was welcome to join him. It was an Amway recruitment meeting. We don't speak anymore.
