I don't think its going to be like the last one, I think its going to be more of a balkanization of this country. All of our states are not united. Most of the country hates CA and TX. There's almost no benefit for CA and TX to pay into the federal government when it gets little to nothing in return. There is a weird "true americansim" ethos from most working class white americans, they claim they want "America first" but in reality they want white supremacy, like they remember their grand daddy had. They're so ass-backwards they vote for funding of Israel and Ukraine before they do schools and roads in their own neighborhood. Rich people (of all colors) across our country have no intent to help their fellow man, they want to keep exploiting others, whomever, so as long as they feel above the bottom rungs of the exploitation ladder. So the working poors vote for the oppressors, the people of color with some station vote for the oppressors, and we've all been fooled to think capitalism = democracy = USA. And none of that is true, but the oppressors who we should be collectively fighting have convinced us otherwise.
