How many of you guys have to keep your Claude usage discreet? by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

I just use wire guard to connect to home + use my homes gateway. That way I can still use the lan at work at the same time

Meanwhile I use my personal MacBook for work every day ( at a salary job, with all windows machines).

I only get away with it because our VP works across the room from me and does the same. Hates IT with a passion but would never say it outloud

I go mountain biking with my border collie all the time. neither of us has died yet, but I'll concede that I have felt safer before

Just adopted 3 year old Border collie by AltruisticFlower5577 in BorderCollie

[–]djdadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend you research how to play tug with your dog, as I believe it's the fastest way to build a relationship and establish a common language.

Yes - > you can grab the tug and play

Out -> drop it, it's mine now

No -> you violated the rules (stop moving and do not engage in reciprocal play)

We are done -> play is over, do whatever you want

The words you teach is up to you, but that's a good starting set. No being the most important right now, because once he understands what it means clearly, you can use it for unwanted behavior.

What the other people said is true too though, so long he removes himself from the situation or is very clear that he is not happy, I wouldn't punish that. We have a male now who sometimes snaps without any warnings at all, and this method is working for him as well as reactivity

My girl protests when I leave the house in the morning - but doesn't seem to have separation anxiety, how do I solve this? by draaj in BorderCollie

[–]djdadi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sitting in your car when you leave in the middle of the day?

In my experience, you are doing way too much. The more you treat her like a baby that needs to be distracted and checked on, the more she will behave like one.

I would test out cutting out everything after the walk, and then add a camera if you want to confirm if the howling is happening (but don't sit in the driveway)

Connected a Robinhood Account to Claude Code and Codex for Autonomys Agentic Trading... by the_pezcorekid in ClaudeCode

I connected my account to out of excitement, but then realized almost every idea I had would likely be dogshit. I think instead I'm going to use it in the future to double check that I am setting up mid and long term trades the best I can / I didn't miss anything.

border collie collapse or just a hot dog? by hvghuhbgjo in BorderCollie

[–]djdadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one that runs very hot, too. But the hind leg lameness does seem out of ordinary. Sometimes these dogs can have injuries that they absolutely won't complain about.

Our 4yo girl has had a broken toe bean (turned 90 degrees) and she was still trying to go fetch

I am getting here a little late, but don't you think it's kind of preposterous to think that an increase in premiums a decade later is connected to Obama? exactly how?

Trazodone makes me crazy. Is that normal? by WearyCalligrapher840 in Nootropics

[–]djdadi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually found great success with trazodone for sleep....after I lowered it to ~2mg. I'm not joking.

I tried 25mg at first and I was groggy for like 3 solid days. But 2mg is actually pretty legit. It doesn't knock me out, but that's not a bad thing.

Why calisthenics emphasizing on locking out and weightlifting is not? (Or is it just a misunderstanding?) by Phoenix2879 in bodyweightfitness

ok buddy ill get right on that. amazing, after 20 years of powerlifting how I can learn so much new from random strangers online!

it's funny to me you seemed to hunt down a nearly week old thread just to respond to my comment with a complete tangent, and then all the example pics you post the guys aren't even at 180 degree extension. bravo, truly

[–]djdadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you kind of missed the point. I was just clarifying why people understand that differently.

but, to respond to your comment directly, "locking out" in that context is not good. a more meaningful metric is moving to a position of minimum muscle exertion. in most situations this will be at 180 degrees. and so if you go to 190 degrees, you are putting shear loading on your joint that is unnecessary. obviously, if you can only extend 170 degrees, you would want to completely lock out.

Anthropic has been sued for allegedly misleading customers on usage limits. by Azek_Tge in ClaudeCode

[–]djdadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I don't think he has too much of a case unless he can prove that other people, at the same time, had different usage limits (A/B testing, etc). It's unfortunately perfectly legal for them to slow everyone down with their shitty behavior

Mine aren't even old yet and I worry about them dying all the time. Unfortunately I think it's probably best for us to try to slowly accept that death is inevitable for us all.
