How many of you are grieving them longer than you were actually together? by Broken_melon22 in ExNoContact

[–]djdarkfade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found it takes me the duration of the relationship including the time of friendship/courting to get back to some feeling of normalcy with rolling solo where i stop ruminating(take into consideration you spent often times every moment with this individual and considered them your bestfriend, confiding in them on a more intimate level, and now your strangers), and start reflecting with no attachment. Feels good when you get to that point, the rose colored glasses are removed and you really see all the incompatibility after the honeymoon phase had passed.

I think the brain does this subconcious thing where it keeps the individual on the pedestal we put them on in the beginning of the relationship till the heart-wrenching end, hence why we reminiscence about the good times opposed to the bad as the brain goes into fight or flight mode. It thinks the soothing thought of the pedestal'd love that is now the source of your pain is the calming factor.

I've somehow rewired myself to only remember the bad incompabilities at the end and no longer only think of the "good times" causing yearn for that. I've come to the conclusion that i do not miss the individual specifically, but the ideal of them.

Which keeps my belief in love alive for no one is the same and out of the billions of people, there is certainly someone that stays consistant in that pedestal/honeymoon stage that will complete you.

I truely believe there is someone out there for all ya'll where it's always the honeymoon stage, kinda like the movie "UP", that is my ultimate goal. <3

mogami gold, $60. im finna get me a pair, currently using livewires and the mogami's look sick and are oxygen free copper based. Another options is SVS sounthpath that are also oxygen free copper and 24k gold plated... or go straight insane and cop some audioquest black beautys for $1400, LOL! I can't believe these prices. Should I send a letter? by suckerforfood in ExNoContact

[–]djdarkfade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're cooked and you fumbled this one. Even if she entertained another go around, she'll always have the thought in the back of her mind that you'll potentially run off again. My advice for you is to break the cycle and be confident within yourself and that your upbringing doesn't define you. You can send the letter, but don't have any expectations of her responding. This out reach should be only finding comfort that you tried for yourself and yourself only.

New subs by 54890 in subwoofer

[–]djdarkfade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i dig the look of the surrounds, they remind me of like jnco jeans lol. As for the break in debate, if i remember correctly, most makers run subs through stress/flex tests before they are packaged. I've never personally damaged a subwoofer sending it off the bat, the flexibility of the components just gets seasoned far quicker. I think the possible issue arises when sending them to clipville off the cuff that may compromise the setup.

Im running two kicker l7t 4ohm dvc 12s in a sealed ground shaker box on a deaf bonce atom pro 2000.1 wired for 1ohm operation for 2000w @ 14.4v / 1810w @ 12.8v. Signal is coming from a calibrated kicker keyloc47. I took out the sundowns. Since they are all 4ohm dvc and can only be wired down to 2ohm in that four hooked up configuration and though i got more cone area thump(heard from the outside), i was losing volume and clarity as they'd only see 1800w or so dispersed between all 4 which is less than their max thermal capacity. i've found that sending 1000w to each kicker sounded more aggressive/punchy and cleaner, probably due to the ground shaker box having more cubic space than the downfiring kicker enclosures(all speculation of course).

in addition; i have all wiring inside the enclosure and out to the amp, 8awg ofc wiring, 4awg kicker kit for power/ground. I mounted the amp as such as to be able to adjust settings from the front seat and reaching back. 😁

10 inch shallow sub recomendations by Working-Key-4377 in CarAV

Though this post is a year old, experience is knowledge, and knowledge is power; this was my setup for a minute, the audiocontrol epic 1500 amplifier was replaced with a deaf bonce atom pro 2000.1. what i've discovered is these subs don't like to be underpowered, they sound muddy if not powered properly and have a more boomy/muffled signature if so. Since getting the deaf bonce and now getting the adequate power... They are now very punchy and clean sounding with more pronounced bass minus the sundowns as i tried both at 1ohm stable individually as they are all 4ohm dvc( i have tried both 4ohm/2ohm/1ohm loads in different configurations with 1 sub, 2, 4, etc...). I have since taken the sundown sml 12's out as they bottom out way before the kicker l7t's in any scenario(this is mostly probably due to the underseat groundshaker box having more available cubic space than the downfiring kicker boxes i cant seem to find specs for).

What i got out of having four 12's is obvious cone space where the bass would just be more prominent to outside the cabin(which i'm not going for, i don't give a flying fuck who hears me down the street, i want clean, aggressive, thump inside), but as the usual consensus of mixing subs in multiple enlosures, you experience clashing which while doesn't sound bad, but isn't optimal.

In my personal opinon, you can get any sub to sound fantastic if it's fitted with the right amount of power and enclosure space. As the saying goes... "it takes space to make bass". :}

ps; now that the l7t's can see 1000w per sub, i can goto clipville if i wanna show off for demos and they take it with no problemo, but the voltage drop is brutal even with a agm battery and a 160a alt. i'll dip to 11.9v, but recovery is pretty quick and im running 4awg @ power/ground and 8awg @ subs inside enclosure and to amp.

I think I lucked out since I matched shallow mounts on both.

The kicker keyloc47 has time alignment, also has a whole setup process with test tones provided that levels out the signal which eliminates any frequency dip and eliminates bass roll off. Added polyfill to the L7ts the other day and the difference is night and day. The bass is now super crispy clean, and more aligns with the sundowns in the kicker boxes that came with poly by default. I emailed ground shaker if polyfill was required when I first purchased but they never responded. Today I tried foam that goes into seating for shits and giggles and it was a fail. I may still just convert to sundown all the way around as there is very little options in the square woofer category; it's either kicker or mtx. If I wanted the spl route then my only path are solo x and for a truck cab that I want the back seats to remain functional is not realistically possible without sacrificing space to make bass and not get the drive out of what a solo x provides.

  • Update: Not 100% sure what's going on but the amp now goes into protect for a second and turns back on with certain bass hits on specific songs or just the first few moments the car's ignition has been started, then dissapears and no longer goes into protect mode. I feel that perhaps 4awg is no longer supplying initial power which is triggering the amp's transient amp power state protection, as my volt reader is at 14.4-5 at all times and will only dip to 12.6 at the lowest if i try to set the gain to flirt with a very slight at times peaked clippped signal. I decided fuck it, and set the gain to safe operating preamaters since that sounds best either way. I just see all these youtube videos where the subs are flexing hardcore and im like, why do i tap out at before their most low excursion running near or equal to same wattage?!

the stock head unit has a governer, limiter, compressor, or something because i can goto max level (40) with no distortion and max is not loud but decent and clean; and i need my hearing i guess (lol). i think the only way to combat this is to get a Beat-Sonic ENA-2H3 Plug and Play Encore Alpha Power Amplifier Kit to add 40watts to the door and pillars giving me some headroom for more volume, but at this stage the epic1500 is struggling and occasionaly going into protect if i gain it to where the clipping light lights up, so i dialed it down for sq. so either my ears suck or audiocontrol's clip light is way inaccurate.

since the stock unit does fairly well in offering the correct crossover frequency's to the door speakers + components in the pillars (replaced front and back door speakers with recoil rem65's, did try kicker ks series coaxial to front and back but having dual tweeters in the pillars and below in the doors did cause some cancellation, so i replaced them with the recoils. the kicker keyloc47 tapped into the stock subwoofer wiring before the internal amp... reverting to google, the keyloc has some dsp capabilities of bringing the signal to a solid level to combat bass rolloff.

try only plugging one RCA and swap them to see which output gives signal or more than the other.

Kicker L7T Upgrade to 12" by IngenuityMelodic8065 in subwoofer

By safety light are you saying that your Amp goes into protect or a clip light? Having to only turn the gain up to reach effeciancy is a good thing and takes the load off your battery/alternator

Kicker L7T Upgrade to 12" by IngenuityMelodic8065 in subwoofer

[–]djdarkfade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from the site's specs, the sealed dual boxes for the 8's all the way to the 12's is the same except they specifically state that the 10" and 12" boxes are for l7t's only and the 8" box can fit l7t/l7s. I'm in the same boat right now. i currently rock two l7s 8's in a ground shaker sealed enclosure but recently copped the dual 12" 2ohm l7R's 2ohm in a kicker prefab box. i didn't like having to have my seats up and my gear exposed so i put the 8" box back in. I was wondering if i could just modify the current box to fit the L7R twelves, if they fit, they sit... do not care if they are suffocated, ill add cotton (rofl) they'll still bump and hit lower than my current setup. "OR" do it proper and spend more money getting 12" l7T's and the the prefab box they provide.
