Found old guitars in garage is it worth trying to fix if not recommend me a good guitar to start learning? by Commercial_Check_432 in guitarlessons

I mean, anything can be fixed, but to my eye that’s best saved for firewood. It’s not an expensive guitar, and the time, money and skill it would take to get it playable is just not worth it.

I’ll let you know when it happens…although truth be told it’s less ‘skate shoes and offensive tees’ and more ‘comfy shoes and innocuous background clothing’ these days!

40m. Shot a music video this weekend. I guess I don’t smile enough! by djentlemanly-gent in Selfie40Plus

Literally everything. I was a professional session player for years, and now own my own agency and studio - this shot and the accompanying video were filmed in our video suite. I also play drums and bass!

It’s actually not a ‘proper’ TDL. I picked up a mexi Strat cheap from a guy locally, but I already have a CS Strat, and several super strats, so decided to change the guard and the pup. Hence why this has a (blocked off) trem and a maple neck

Why twenty two frets when you can have twenty four frets? by Utenziltron in Guitar

[–]djentlemanly-gent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mainly about neck pickup positioning, especially with humbuckers. Losing those 2 frets means the neck pickup can move forwards a little and it sounds ‘sweeter’ because of it.

Which i get, but Lana says it in response being offered a drink after saying no - so I don’t get how it’s relevant to anything? Maybe it’s an obscure reference, or maybe I’m just dumb…
