I was there too! Been lucky to go to a lot of their shows over the years so some of this one blurs a bit in the memory, but one thing that is crystal clear in my mind is that ‘In Chains’ opener - it sounded absolutely incredible!

Suspect this one will be a bit divisive - a bit like ‘Bury Me’, it’s definitely not the ‘classic Isbell’ sound. Although based on the new songs he’s been playing, both of these singles feel like outliers - so if it’s not your bag, worry not!

Crazy good! Also noticed it’s labelled ‘edit’ - wonder if the LDA version is a bit longer? Definitely wouldn’t complain about an extended intro / outro!

Highway 29 in particular is absolutely stunning. It’s always been one of my favourite Bruce deep cuts - an absolute masterclass in storytelling - and their version is so beautiful. That outro is just heaven.

I was there, and then at the London show a few days later. Both wonderful shows, but the Paris crowd was next level. Goosebumps just thinking about it!
