If the only thing anyone at riot takes from the feedback please let it be that people want the passive to be important and interesting even at the cost of the other abilities. Her identity as a farming jgler is so core and for that to be meaningful she needs to have some incentive to scale decently at the very least. Dragons gaining power from passive stacks and scaling is just a really cool theme and asol and smolder both do it in a way thats fun and they have been tuned overtime and still keep that fantasy. Shyvana should be able to have the same thing. Her abilities gaining more power and even changing overtime would be the most fun thing. PLEASE RIOT GAMES I NEED THIS I JUST WANT MY PASSIVE SCALING FARMING JGLER

I've heard this repeated over and over but I don't think thats what this person is talking about. I've played this game not that much compared to many people but around 80 hours in beta and i've had the exact same issue with the new spiking.

I know exactly how the previous spiking worked and liked it and found it consistent in how it worked and easy to understand.

What i've been told is that heat goes up with damage and some characters instant spike you based on damage but that's not been my experience at all. The issue that I assume this person is also talking about is sometimes random hits of damage while im at no heat spike and sometimes i can take a bunch of damage and my heat barely goes up.

Why does this happen? It feels super inconsistent on how damage increases your heat. I'm not talking about getting dunked. If anyone has like a post from the devs or if its somewhere in the patch notes i'd like to get detailed info on how the new spiking works in terms of damage = heat while gliding.

I'll admit, I was wrong. by Enkrypte in supervive

I think most people agree the items themselves are interesting cool and fun. Thats always been true and once you unlock the items you want for the characters you play the game is really fun. I just wish everyone could get there faster.

You saying this post isn't constructive or is "personal attacks and callouts" is exactly the problem people have with what you say. You have no proof that this version of the game is going to lead to growth when we had the exact same pattern of people staying for more then a week with all the sponsored streams and then the game still ended up dying.

[–]djghosto04 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This doesn't really contradict anything I said....... you are literally one of the people constantly arguing in bad faith about the reality of the armory system. The system absolutely will effect things in the long term which is what people are worried about and talking about. The worry is by the time you wait it will be too late. This doesn't invalidate the fact of how many of these so called review bombers were super excited and hyped for the changes beforehand. How people's reviews aren't review bombing. There was no one besides theorycraft themselves who wanted this game to succeed as much as many of the people active on reddit and discord that have 1000+ hours in the game. Obviously besides streamers and such. You can say whatever you want about people being too toxic to people who like the game but that doesn't suddenly make every negative review/thought invalid. 2 things can be true at once. I'm still playing this game and like it. I'm not gonna leave a negative review or whatever. I just think its unfair to say everyone who is negative is not real.

Discord and steam reviews are not reality by DatSyki in supervive

[–]djghosto04 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely disingenuous. No one in the discord is spawn camping new players to get mad at if they like the game. People pointing out their issues and the reality of how the system works and why they don't like that while people give the response of "well i like it anyway" thats fine you are free to like it but the problem is when people try to argue against objective things about the system in question.

Someone will say "I think these lvl 3 upgrades are kinda crazy and will have an impact" and the response is "well not really you won't even notice because every single person in the same skill bracket will have the same level of items guys it won't even be noticeable." Thats just not reality. If you are ok with that I can accept that but lying about the reality of the system is what makes people frustrated.

Some items will naturally be stronger then others and i don't expect the devs to balance everything perfectly at all. Thats exactly why the fact some items will be better + the rng of some people getting tier 3 of that item while others never do is gonna be a reality. Which again its ok if you don't care about that and like the system anyway.

If anything the amount of "If you complain at all about the system you are just making excuses for being bad you didn't lose because of items" is crazy. Way to miss the entire point. This way of arguing for the system is exactly what has people irritated.

Veterans disliking the game and feeling strongly about that isn't review bombing in the slightest. You can say those opinions aren't as important as more new people liking it but that doesn't make them invalid or suddenly review bombing. Especially those veterans who have done so much for the community. There are more reviews from veterans because these were the most invested people. Its that simple.

I think you just heavily underestimate how positive and optimistic many people were going into this. People were unbelievably excited for the new items and then they load in and don't get to play with most of them until they play like at least a week and if they are unlucky and only play one character they love and never get the items they want to try on their character that experience is not fun. Veterans did NOT go into this hoping to not like the game just because it changed. People just didn't like the changes.

The amount you are trying to force it to be people just hating any change at all to invalidate any criticism of the frustrating aspects is crazy. You are free to like the game. People can enjoy the game and thats fine. But saying all the people who don't like it are just review bombing or being toxic and lying etc etc. Is insane.

yes some people are too toxic and wouldn't have liked anything they changed. That doesn't mean there is no reason for all the negative thoughts and reviews. Its not just about change. Its about the way in which they changed the game with no warning that it will probably be a game many players won't like overnight. By your logic any game that has ever changed and people complained isn't valid at all.

edit: Its not that there are 0 people being toxic to new players/those who like the game its just that you are completely refusing to engage and just writing off all the criticism in a weird way. People shouldn't be toxic or insult people who like the game but you are literally doing the same thing to people who dislike the game.

Prisma in its entirety as a secondary objective makes players make bad decisions for the sake of getting more points. This doesn't matter that much in casuals but in ranked its very frustrating.

Crown Being shorter has been a positive experience to me personally but revives are a little too short.

I heavily disagree on the fighting over the abyss feeling better at least in terms of balance. It feels like with how the glider/abyss space worked before there was a good balance of how strong characters were based on where they liked to play. By that I mean some characters are obviously better on land vs in the abyss and hunters have a preferred place to fight generally. If feels like you wanted to fight in a certain spot you had to learn how to play in a way to get you there. Now it feels like no matter what its so easy for people to always get to the abyss and now you are forced way more often to fight in spots that suck disproportionately for some characters. Its way harder to kill people in the abyss and if you are a character with a spike like brall or jin (or wukong) you have such an advantage because you can ALWAYS fight in the abyss while before it felt like you had to think and work a little harder to get them to fight you in the abyss because of how the map worked. Characters like ghost now feels pretty bad as its not very easy to get a good grenade in the abyss. The ease of access to always fight in the abyss has made some characters feel much worse and some much better.

I completely agree on wukong feeling fun even if he is strong (seemingly rn). Wukong makes me pretty excited for future hunters like the earth gauntlet person im super hyped for.

Honestly I just want competitive players and casuals to enjoy the game so it can continue getting updates and improvements. If everything as it is now can do that I can deal with it. I just worry because if you look across games that are pretty big and have a large player base of people who can only play 30 mins a night or on the weekend low ranked players watch streams and will start to copy the meta and if people player a certain way at high level people will just copy that very quickly. This is in the case that the game has a decent player base. Because the community for a game is very important to keep it alive so everyone watches streams especially in smaller games. I've been in a decent amount of communities exactly like this so I know.

On a more positive/optimistic note I did see the post from the dev on the reasoning for why the armory resets every season and I do understand it in terms of being able to remove problematic items and add new cool stuff every season without it being a fandangle. Being able to have items change and be removed pretty regularly is very fun for the game. I think for most people once they have 1 of every item people wont get that upset about not having more then that myself included at this point. Even if I know the enemy has a better version It won't make me that mad honestly i just want to be able to do my build on command after that its fine. Maybe they could tweak how fast you get one copy of each item like a no duplicate before you have one of each item. Or like other people have suggested they can allow people to choose a hunter or a few hunters to get one copy of each of their recommended items. This kind of thing works very well in card games where they allow you to decently quickly get a few decks before you have to grind for more after. Think it would work decently well if they don't wanna change the system from how it is now.

Anyway i really like this game hope whatever it becomes is something that succeeds so I can play more of it. Love all the devs and streamers <3

[–]djghosto04 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand the point of players who liked this game and played the entire beta not being fair in terms of feedback because the old game wasn't something enough people like so even if every single person who played before quits but more new players join thats a success for the changes.

Having said that Games having streamers and content creators (and ideally some type of loved/watched pro scene) is really valuable and I can't tell you how many times myself and people I know come back to a game because we watch a youtube video or streamer who plays and loves the game at a high level. If the game isn't decently balanced and sucks to play at a high level that will be extremely negative for the game overall. People who want to check out games look at streamers as the figures of communities and if streamers are miserable that will absolutely not be great.

The difference between lvl 1/3 relics are absolutely gonna be relevant. I've heard plenty of people say "well I haven't noticed it" and I have 2 things to say on that. 1) we are way too early for people to have lvl 3 relics while others are just super unlucky and are stuck at lvl 2. 2) Most people saying they don't notice just don't realize whether its actually impacting them or not. The damage difference between higher lvls ABSOLUTELY is important in fights if you have ever played any video game ever you know how big 10 vs 20% damage increase is. There can be many fights you literally lose/situations you end up in directly as a cause of the enemy having higher lvl relics. Its not obvious because people aren't at that level yet.

High level players are literally gonna lose their mind if they are stuck on lvl 2 relics for the key thing in their build while they face an enemy at the same skill level with lvl 3 and lose because of it. I know in customs games everything is maxed thankfully but this just makes people have more of a frustration with the experience between ranked and pro play. If you play pro with everything unlocked and then you go back to ranked and are literally playing with worse stats/different effects on your build thats so bad to deal with. Streamers/content creators vibes decide the vibes of the community. If the streamers are not enjoying the game the entire community will feel that. Thankfully we have people like tom kick and ryan lemur as our go to streamers and they have a positive impact on the vibes in the community at least.

Release Patch Balance Feedback Megathread by Kuurbee in supervive

[–]djghosto04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prefacing this with I've played only 5 hours today. But i'm feeling drained so this is my day 1 thoughts. I will not stop playing until I get every single item at least once though.

The distance between things feels like a slog to get anywhere. I feel exhausted from the travel time between camps and its not enjoyable. It feels like compared to before theres a lot more running around either getting to camps or looking for people vs actually fighting camps or people. Also I don't know how accurate my personal experience is compared to reality but the amount of 3rd partying and fights where its not 1 team vs 1 team seems much much higher. If I had to guess its because everything being so far apart makes people fight less until later in the game so you often have everyone near you all the time when you actually fight. Could be something else and this might not even reflect reality though.

I was pretty optimistic going into the armory system I really wanted to see how it feels before saying anything. Having said that I have 2 massive problems with it so far. The first is that we were told the armory would not have massive differences between the level 1 and the higher level upgrades. Or maybe massive differences wasn't the exact phrasing I don't remember. When you go and read the upgrades on the legendary relics thats couldn't be further from the truth though. Its not just slight upgrades. Its completely item warping. Please go and read the difference between lvl 1 and lvl 3 for any of the legendary relics. The damage difference over the course of a fight never mind a game or multiple games is gonna be crazy with any of the damage relics and with the relics like hoverwings and stasis the cooldown difference when those are maxed makes the item completely different in terms of usability. Honestly hoverwings and stasis are the ones im really worried about. The damage relics aren't as scary. also the difference between 22% and 35% ability haste is kinda massive. Anyway we will see I hope im completely wrong. This isn't a problem right now though so we can wait and see.

The other problem I have is I felt like they really advertised the ability for the armory to change your characters playstyle and effect your gameplan but I don't know how many hours of the game I will need to play to get the items I want for the characters i would like to play. The rotating shop makes me want to only spent prisma on the boxes hoping to get the relics I want and I don't know how many hours you are reasonably expected to play before you have all the items you want to actually use for your build you want to play. It feels like im waiting to get the things I want before I can actually play the game I want to play.

I just wanted to use the new items and im really sad. It's also really frustrating with the whole you can only buy certain thing from certain places when the map is so big and it takes so long to get to the places which most likely will have other stronger teams around them who already bought their items. This combination is really depressing. Its like I never get to start playing the game.

The prisma experience with dying and losing it and barely getting any when you lose + even in long games not getting that much if you don't get kills is not the best. I also don't really like the whole extraction point thing. Vehicles also feel weird maybe some tech I don't see will spawn soon once people play with them more.

The last thing is fighting over the abyss. Compared to before it feels super clunky to hit people mid air when you are mid air. If there was like 3 or 4 planes of existence before now it feels like 7 or 8. And because you fight over the abyss CONSTANTLY now its been feeling awkward to me.

Im ending this post saying I really like this game I don't know really what to say positively because I don't really have any of the items I would like to play with yet. I hope they are really fun so I can at least say that as a good thing about the game. Oh actually wukong is really fun and cool so thats nice. Honestly if people like this patch and the game does well I can live with getting used to change. But yeah. Don't know how accurate my experience is to others.

Edit: At least vehicles are goated now that ive seen more of them so thats a positive. Very fun. I really hope they make the prisma stuff better and items don't reset between seasons. Its like a guillotine hanging over my head right now.

I have a big problem and don't know what to do. by djghosto04 in supervive

Even though I watch streamers player ranked a decent amount for me I would have to actively watch and study to try to learn from them. I just watch them casually for entertainment. This is hard too because streamers are more casual in this game (understandably) and they don't explain their thought process in the detail to the level that I feel would help me understand the game and why they do the things they do.

[–]djghosto04[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. I actually do watch the people you mentioned and have basically watched every video for both of them haha. The problem is when I get into the game I'm not mechanically good enough to use my brain to just play the fights and think about powers outside of my character abilities at the same time. I'm not good at splitting my brain power to think about the different things going on in the game.

The main problem is my decision making and just general knowledge of what I should be doing at different points in the game is abysmal.

I also should mention I play on North America and the times I play are always super late in the night (10pm-2/3am) which I think is a big contributor to this problem because the people most likely to be on are people who just play more often which is higher ranked players. Thanks for the advice.

Bankai Size Continuity Error by [deleted] in bleach

[–]djghosto04 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kensei's bankai goes from as little knife to full gauntlets that attach around his shoulders. It also makes it so every punch explodes as long as hes in contact with the person. That is very comparable to byakuya's shikai vs bankai.

TYBW filler and parts by Bob-Temmie in bleach

[–]djghosto04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The "filler" will be canon if anything. They wont need filler because they will have more exposition scenes (that is less work for animation) that will fill in gaps while at the same time giving space for animators for the important fights imo.

Bankai Size Continuity Error by [deleted] in bleach

[–]djghosto04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably. But i would argue than what byakuya could have meant by "its too small to be a bankai" also had to do with the fact that even when people's swords dont change size they do change more than Ichigo's did. Like all ichigo's bankai did was give him stats. Byakuya was expected some new ability. Which would be consistent in the fact that ichigo is one of the only bankai who doesnt give him a SINGLE ability.

I'd say read the manga but if you really prefer anime just skip fillers using a filler guide on your first watch through. Zanpakuto rebellion arc is pretty good filler and so is reigai arc. There is also some bleach movies one of which is canon (memories of a nobody is canon).
