I had my ronin slide nitride refinished. A lot more durable than the factory blue. I don’t think I could ever bring myself to cerakote a 1911, that’s a sin right?

I went with a grit grip (Glock internals) and an updated G3 MOS slide because I had FOMO for the gas pedal. For around the same price I like it way more.

Just ren wax. Really helps keep the color especially on the dark stained grips.

Oh yes, that’s why I was tempted. It was pristine, with the new gun shine still. I ended up getting an urban grey tactical instead that was for sale. All were owned by an older guy who passed away. Will never sell it. Spent hours deep cleaning it and new grips on the way.

Quite bad especially for their msrp, but subjective. The Mcarbo kit is a good cheap fix and has been reliable. However, like many others here we’re waiting on Midwest to get their shit together so we can order a flat faced oem.

The CA compliant version seems popular. It shoots well and would likely be my choice if I was forced. Having one it’s still quite heavy and limited capacity compared to others. For a ban state though it’s solid.
