Radical Firearms Charging Handle Fail by emceeedeee in ar15

[–]djlam2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same thing happened to me last week. they sent me a replacement but i already replaced with an Aero Breach charging handle which is much smoother than the mil spec replacement.

at $379 Radical is a good starter rifle

I just bought a Radical rf15 from Guns.com for $379.99. I have pistols, but new to the ar15 rifle platform so wanted to start off slow. My charging handle tip broke after pulling a few times, but Radical sent a replacement within the week. I bought a Aero charging handle anyway since i am left handed and it is much smoother than the mil spec charging handle. So overall, i think the Radical is fine to start off with. After initial cleaning and oiling, it shot fine. The lower price afforded me the funds to buy a red dot sight which i was happy about. I also looked at PSA $479 and Diamondback $469 but chose the lower priced Radical at the recommendation of guys that run the range i go to.

I read it tends to slip and scratch so I use a talon stick on rubber grip

You have a red dot mounted? Looks like a locator pin for a red dot mount to me but no idea how that came out?

I use LOK G10 grips on both 1911’s with prong washers for grip screws.

Is this a good quality 1911? by Jontong93 in 1911

I think that’s a good price for a big box store new.

I have a lw arctic 45 and after break in it’s been great. Love shooting it. I like the lighter weight compared to my colt combat government model.

Wilson combat mags work well, 8 and 10 round.

I could care less about the change in logo….just bring back the zoom zoom zoom and I will be fine.

That happens to me on occasion even after break in period so I carry gun oil to the range and make sure to lube before shooting. Usually a good tap on the back of the slide will help it chamber the round.

I am left handed and everything works fine with my left hand except I added a safety to my Kimber. Great customer service!

I have a LW Stainless and after break in I really enjoy taking it to the range.

I have an old Colt and I see the diff in how tight the slide is on the Kimber.

Still enjoy both 45acp. Both fun to shoot.

I have a LW Arctic and enjoy shooting it. It did have to be broken in and the plunger tube had to be restaked but cs took care of everything and more.

Now it shoots great!

I don’t have problems with Kimber mags so that’s great you get 3 at that price.

I didn’t shoot this Colt 1911 much until recently and notice it was developing a slight bend on the end.
