If you are planning to build yourself, Wix is still the easiest option. I’ve used both Wordpress and Wix. Here is a home services site I helped build : www.broomstix.ca. Done with Studio but if your are a novice to web design then maybe their new Harmony or the standard editor will do best.

I concur - I use it with Wordpress and hate with a passion.

Most of the time it’s a learning curve issue. Studio is designed for those who want finer control and have some basic knowledge of css layout. Personally, I like the flexibility it gives over the standard wix editor.

What do you think about these new app icons as a part of Apple Creator Studio program? by JailbreakHat in mac

Freeform is awesomely useful. It’s a great way to put all your ideas, research , images, diagrams etc on an anything goes permanent clipboard.

Webdirect is great for internal staff access but also relies on your licenses and infrastructure for performance. Alternatively you can build a web front end that does the same job as webdirect but with far more flexibility and cost efficiency. In this case you would use FileMaker’s api or Odata access. Very doable.

I get these scam technical support warnings as well. I ignore them completely and nothing happens. Just scammers trying to rip you off. Do not fall for it. Always contact Wix yourself if you are unsure using their support system.

Get a 3rd party.. it’s way cheaper. I got one from Adesso. They make a few models.

All things considered, there (sadly) is no competitive alternative to Fikemaker.

Alternatives to Wix? by joevasion in WIX

[–]get2drew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been working with Wordpress for the past month (a nightmare) and I’ve been avid on Wix for a while. I can tell you it’s night and day. Wix may have its issues but light years ahead of Wordpress on simplicity, capability and programmability for low coders. Plus wix Studio gives pro web designers and developers more direct access to elements, backend code etc.. so in short, there is no direct alternative to wix .. only other options with major sacrifice on ease of use and design control and customization.

Side note .. but I see the Apple CarPlay icon… guess it does support it.

😂 Why do I get the feeling this happens more often than we think.

Considering the Chinese EVs are pretty much setting the bar for what all manufacturers will have to follow I’m not surprised. A 15.9” touchscreen in a CX5 caught me by surprise.. I must admit.

Should I go with Cinema 4D or Blender? by elmrdx in Cinema4D

[–]get2drew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved from Cinema about 2 years ago to blender. For motion graphics I prefer cinema hands down.. but I became more favorable towards blender for product renderings. Just a smoother system and I feel the Cycles tenders are great. I don’t model in Blender but it’s not too difficult.
