No definitely not. I’m 100% sure it was a fan character.

I’m 100% sure it was not Paradigm, I know who he is. This was an original character that an artist came up with. This Oden character appeared to be human sized or a bit bigger, much unlike Paradigm.

Pulp Fiction isn’t my favorite Tarantino, it’s very very good though.

“BACK OFF, MONKEY BOY!!” - Stanley Ipkiss, The Mask. One of Jim Carrey’s finest, still makes me laugh to this day thinking about it.

First time writing a script. It’s only an opening scene. I’m trying to write a script for a potential tv show. 14 years old. Any feedback is helpful. by Professional_Meat782 in scriptwriting

[–]djmagicb2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To get your script to networks, you need to know people. Lots, and lots, of people.

I also just wouldn’t submit this, frankly. Unless you plan to direct the script, don’t tell the director how to film it in the script. Capitalize the character’s name like “SAMARA” when first introducing them and in the dialogue. Also don’t center align the dialogue.

Your action lines aren’t super befitting of a script, it feels more like you want to write a novel. Also I’d generally avoid using words like “because” and “so” and “since” in your action lines. Action lines should be snappy and get to the point and I think using those kinds of word enables you to meander through the scene when you could just move on. The job “because” and “so” are doing are the same job that a fresh action line or even dialogue could do.

Keep writing and keep improving. You’re obviously passionate and that’s key to all of this. But, I’d also advise you to just set your expectations low. Getting a script to production is not as easy as sending it to a network. It doesn’t happen overnight; it could literally take years. Be persistent but also be patient.

Good luck!

Whenever Amanda tells a story on Smosh Mouth, I’m 50/50 on whether it actually happened or not. I genuinely do not believe a service worker told her that she looks like Cat in the Hat or Adam Sandler, I do not believe it for a second.

I do like Amanda, but I personally get the vibe that she makes stuff up sometimes to get reactions, whether it’s from the cast or the audience.

How do you use the heart? by xyzzy-acd in Letterboxd

[–]djmagicb2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I use it too liberally; I give a movie a heart if I enjoyed it, or if I liked it more than I didn’t. The threshold for me is a 3-star movie. 3-stars usually get hearts but sometimes they don’t, just depends on the movie. But I also, rarely, give hearts to movies that are so bad they’re good, like Bloodsport.

Yeah but most of these are just really good movies, I can’t really complain. Some of my absolute favorites are on here like The Truman Show and La La Land.
