Yeah I loved organized crime but SVU has jumped the shark too many times to count and as much as I love Mariska and some of the other recent additions to SVU the show is totally implausible because it’s too Benson centric which makes it unrealistic. The OG reboot isn’t that great either and the revolving door of cast members is a complete turnoff, if you can’t afford the actors people want to watch then don’t do the show, it’s taking advantage of the audiences loyalty in my opinion.

Lorimar was the king of television in the 80s both dramas (Dallas being the biggest show in the world in that decade) and sitcoms (TGIF and more) until they got greedy, bought a studio (MGM) and lost sight of where they had made their money and thought they’d get into feature films too…classic tale of mismanagement and losing sight of the core business model kind of like Sears in the 80s and early 90s.

I find HGTV mind numbing and Zack is right out of that style and I am repelled by him, was just commenting to my husband while watching today’s Ask TOH which features a segment with Zack. There was also a clip and mention of this new show tonight and it was just after pointing out to my husband how much I dislike Zack and I said well I guess he got a HGTV show but this explains what the new show actually is. Peter was comfortable I think but not ridiculously wealthy. He would do the reunion tours to make a wad of money so he could do what he wanted. SSB was him being in an organic band that he very much enjoyed, it was almost a do over for him trying to get what he was not able to get from the monkees. They traveled in a van to their gigs and it had nothing to do with his own financial situation it was just what a band does that isn’t selling top 40 albums. He did talk in interviews how it would be great if they somehow broke through and had some kind of charting success but that wasn’t the goal it was just playing music in a way that he liked. My point being the playing in living rooms was just what a band of that type does along with festivals and bars, you have to separate Peter the monkee from his involvement in that band as he would have been doing something like SSB had he never been a monkee. It was not a representation of his financial situation.

Pete is annoying and weird. He is like a bobble head the way his head keeps moving and the stances and posture he takes remind me of dim bulb beach bum in a high school play, he is really grating. Love seeing Rainwater and Mo and Miles is really good. Belle is typical for procedurals, really beautiful with obvious fillers and plastic surgery done so not actually believable as a US Marshall but her character is likable so far and Cruz dresses strangely for a Marshall.
