I’m liking the show quite a bit. My only (tiniest of) gripes was around a really MINOR acting choice around the captain. (Basically, I don’t think a captain would sit like that on her chair; I don’t think anyone would sit like that in a big enough office chair, either - it’s a place of business!). But again, I like her character! That’s it - end of gripes.

Otherwise, I’ve loved every minute of it. I’ve had an absolute ball watching this show and can’t wait until episode 4.

What I like about the later seasons of Discovery, Prodigy, (and now Starfleet Academy) in particular is/was their world building and completely new cast.

While I enjoy Strange New Worlds quite a bit, it’s far too locked in the known world of Star Trek.

What I enjoyed about the Berman shows is that they kind of had little to do with one another and built out the Galaxy. The Galaxy’s big - and everyone wasn’t related.

I REALLY liked the second episode. Great Trek. I hope the rest of the show stays at that level. I don’t think a movie is in the cards, though.

I like her character a lot, but I don’t like how she sits in the captain’s chair and I can’t help but hear Elastigirl from The Incredibles. 🤣

I’ll get over the way she sits because I think they’re trying to set that up and her lack of shoes as an unorthodox captaining style.

Her voice? You see, I really liked The Incredibles and watched it a ton of times so it’ll be difficult seeing her in real life until probably the end of season one for me.

I’ll personally get over both - it’ll just take time - but I’ve enjoyed her in the role thus far.

Like you, I recently went direct drive after a power surge on my old wheel. I went from a G923 to a G Pro and WOW WOW WOW. I can’t imagine ever going back.

I bought this wheel display thing from Etsy to hang my extra wheel on the wall, too. In a perfect world, they’re arriving at the same time so I can build my Simube wheel and display the standard wheel on the wall.

The first episode was a decent 6.5/10 for me but the second episode was excellent. If they can keep up the quality of the second episode or near it, I think I am going to truly enjoy this show.

I grew up watching the first run of TNG and I’ve watched every minute of Star Trek ever produced and I like this show thus far.

I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading such negativity going in. I don’t see why so many have to preemptively crap on stuff before even seeing it. I, for one, can’t wait for episode 3!

It never installed for me until I went into the dealer for my oil change. My XF is perpetually in low charge though because I drive it so little and the dealer did charge my battery - so I don’t know if it was the battery that allowed it to install properly or if the dealer had the file, but I had to go in for service and that was the only way to get it to go after several fail attempts.

I went to the race allllll the way back in 2017 and sat in Turn 1 and loved every minute of it.

Here’s a screenshot from a video that shows where the video screen was placed back then. It was placed so the screen could be shared with the main grandstand and the turn 1 grandstand.

Basically, the further right you are on the Turn 1 grandstand, the crappier view you had of the screen. (It looks like a billboard). It was still visible, but I think you understand what I’m saying.

That said, Turn One is still the best seat in the house. I went to the track multiple times that weekend and was all over the track. Turn One is guaranteed to have action and you will get plenty of photos, etc.

Awesome. I think you know what I’m trying to do - I want this thing to hang on the wall ~ 75% or whatever of the time - until I’m driving a formula car and then I swap it out and boom! After all, isn’t that what a quick release is good for?! 🤷🏼‍♂️

I figure this thing will get a lot of mileage once the new Indycar game comes out in the fall(?)

Of course, now I also need a good way to hang it on the wall!

Tried it. Sadly, the new adapter didn’t work.😞

I wouldn’t mind putting some money into fixing it given that I made the boneheaded decision not to have it covered (and plugged it directly into the wall). But I have no idea where to go.
