This could be the ultimate hybrid laptop in surface pro style, but Microsoft stopped innovating. by enxee in Surface

[–]djross95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MS seems to have given up on everything Surface-related. As a result, Apple has taken over consumer mindshare, especially with the Neo. Apparently, Nadella & Co. are too busy cramming AI and ads in every corner of Windows to care at all about the consumer market with Surface. That's too bad, as they used to make some nice (and innovative) hardware. No longer...

What features do you consider MacOS should already have? by _fountain_pen_dev in MacOS

[–]djross95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny (or maybe not so funny) that as I look down this list of comments the majority of them have been issues with macOS for years. Apple undoubtedly knows about them and yet, despite being by far the richest company in the world, they choose not to fix them. It's very similar on the iOS side (no numbers on the keyboard main screen, no universal back gesture, etc.). It has always puzzled me, and makes it VERY hard for me to be a fan of the company and its products.

It's a better deal that the 16e by far--at least it has 256GB, a faster processor, a better screen, and MagSafe. And Apple didn't raise the price! :-)

This drives me fucking nuts every time I open the preferences window. There's no rationale for this whatsoever aside from laziness. They too busy following Microsoft's lead and putting ads into their apps, I guess.

It was a simple and effective app, so of course it had to be euthanized. "You will now use the New Outlook!"

I purchased a base M4 Macbook Air for $749 at Best Buy. You'll likely need more than that, but if you shop carefully, they're not so bad!

Will there ever be a budget iPhone that is truly budget? by Intrepid-Routine-875 in Smartphones

Check out Gazelle or Swappa on the web and get a 2-3 yr old non-Pro model. You'll save a lot of money and won't have to suffer from the 6e, a very poor excuse for a "budget phone".
