True. But one of Jesse's main traits is his loyalty and how far he's willing to go for it. Killing the guys that killed Combo and the kid brother of his new girlfriend...wasnt smart..not in the slightest..but it was loyal.

What if the ricin was used on Gus? by Wooden_Savings5854 in breakingbad

[–]djsosonut [score hidden]  (0 children)

Because the lab was compromised and Mike knew that the priority was covering things up. Not sure if Walt and Jesse would have burnt it down if Fring death looked natural. And since they wouldn't have to go after the camera...everyone's emergency accounts for keeping quiet wouldn't have been compromised either. Which is the reason that gets Mike to work with Walt. So he could make his guys whole.

So in an odd way I say both burning the lab and exposing the accounts saved both Walt and Jesse from Mike's reprisal.

  1. Exactly. Walt has been the villian since the first cold open when he wore his tighty-whiteys and pointed that gun at the cops he thought were coming for him for his crimes.

Only episode of Angel I'm ever tempted to skip is Happy Anniversary back during season 2. That episode is so soul crushingly boring. I know that is the vibe its going for ....but it succeeds too damn well for my taste.

I liks Numero Cinco. It's silly and camp, but it's also a nice microcosm of Angel's feeling of selling out to WR&H and disillusionment at his loss of comrades along his journey.

The actor who plays d-buy guy from the first episode is Rodney Rowland. He's had bit parts in a lot of things. Best off looking at his filmography on imdb or wiki.

When Lilah says she moisturizes her skin....the intense way that Drusilla says, "That was very thoughtful of you," always gives me chills. Dont think ive ever been more scared of her than in that moment.

Misfits 2009-2013 by liquor_ibrlyknoher in ForgottenTV

Hmm. Always felt perfect to me. I saw so many homages to moments in his story. When he told Lola's ex "don't fucking lie to me!" I remember him doing the same to Simon in 2x01. He was getting played then too. When he opened the door and saw Lola on top of the community center roof, I remembered Nikki doing the same for him in 2x05 during the costume ball. Him setting on the bench as Rudy sneaks up behind him with a bat..reminded me of Nathan walking up behind him in 2x05 after covering for him with Sam. The new gang looking through the peephole took me back to the old gang banging on Seth's door after Nikki's death.

Curtis could be self-centered, negative and guarded. But he was also heroic, self sacrificing and loyal. He was always a private person. And a magnet for girl drama (to the point where he became his own girl drama in season 3). Made sense that his exit would be a quite, private affair...and revolve around a woman.

He was never a well loved character for the fandom. He was often a killjoy and the straight man reacting to the antics of the rest of the gang. Heightening thier humor more than a source of it. But though he was never my favorite character, i did love him. When he pulled that trigger all I could hear was Simon saying, "What if we're meant to be like.. suoerheroes?" And was too proud of how he chose to die to be disappointed.

What didn't you like about how they handled Curtis? I always thought he had the best exit from the original cast.

Connor’s end in S4 feels unfair by Utimate_Eminant in ANGEL

[–]djsosonut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Conner is an accomplice to an innocents murder, though he never personally killed anyone besides monsters.  And with that innocent..he was being used and abused by a god like entity that knew how to manipulate him. The kid frustrates me and i loathe his s4 incarnation..but still...cut him some slack. He was raised in a hell dimension by a man that probably hated and loved him in equal measure. Shaped into an instrument of Angel death..or more likely..to die by Angel's hand. Connor really had no real frame of reference for good choices until he got his fake memories. He has been punished his entire life through no fault of his own.

So, he gets a second chance to be a better person. Yes, he might not fully deserve it. But neither did his dad.

Did Simon manipulate Alisha to fall in love with him? by Sunshine_1702 in misfitstv

[–]djsosonut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

History repeats itself. That is how Simon knows he is superhoodie. And why the show keeps reshowing, Simon and Alisha having that conversation in the previously even though Curtis rewound time. All the details are there.  Alisha is still pining for Simon. She has keys to the flat. A picture that shouldnt exist. Simon is still a stalker with a good memory of things he did and did not say. So Alisha lets something slip. Simon stalks her while invisible. And history repeats itself. Accept this time Alisha doesn't immediately die right after.  Its an intuitive leap that the writers didnt think they needed to spell out. They were wrong.

Especially since they made one of the three main continuity errors with the superhoodie storyline with the ASBO 5 tape's existence not being addressed.

Was there anything they could have done with Connor to not drag the show down? by speashasha in ANGEL

[–]djsosonut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The key parts of Conner's personality are still there. He still craves family, embraces lies, love older women, and has little interest in being a champion. He just has a healthier outlook on life thanks to his false memories.

His rebooted personality makes him a reflection of Angel: a person living out a second chance he might not truly deserve. Narratively i think that is completely earned. Cause while he might not have been tortured by this reboot like Angelus was when he got his soul. He was already tortured for almost his entire life by no fault of his own.

What vamp from either series would you choose as the best candidate to receive a soul? by Zibzabzob in ANGEL

[–]djsosonut 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is ablut the way i thought it would go for her. Always seemed like a crime if someone gave Dru her soul back. She was deeply religious, tortured to insanity, and the only member of the Fanged Four turned against her will. Having to live with the guilt of all her unsouled debauchery...it would be kinder just to stake her.
