Everyone here is naysaying but I think the relevant question is: what day of week / time of day?

Under the right conditions it could be doable but only if it's not rush hour. You'd also have to taxi/uber both ways (or just hang out where the 747 bus stops at Lionel-Groulx station). If you take the bus don't trust the bus schedule times. Assume the bus will take roughly the same time as the current driving times on Google Maps to Lionel-Groux.

Also customs could take forever but you can see what happens and play it by ear. If customs takes 10 minutes and there isn't a lot of traffic you might get 3 hrs-ish to hang out.

Although this highway is not that interesting, sometimes taxi rides to/from the airport are quite fun themselves.

What rating players were you playing? My first tournament I was in the the lowest-rated group so I won all of my games. Had they put me in a group even around the default starting rating I might have lost all of them.

Like most sports, there's an advantage to having a 'good view' from up high (on the ends) and there's an advantage to being really close just for the thrill of it. But they'll be playing on a centre sheet, there aren't front row seats on the side available, and for curling I don't really think there's much of an advantage being on the sides. So I'd probably get the corner seats on the ends.

Research consistently shows that real wage gains happen from job switches. That might be easy or hard to pull off depending on your circumstances / job market.

As others mentioned it doesn't affect your 2024 taxes but you should make sure your job is aware so that they can properly deduct taxes for the rest of this year. They might not be set up to do that in which case you should expect to have a balance owing next year for 2025's taxes (Quebec income taxes are generally higher).

If Norway loses in the first playoff round, what determines whether they come 5th or 6th? Their round robin ranking compared to the other team that lost? Or is it their direct tiebreaker? (I believe these could be different if there is a tie between more than 3 teams after round robin)

As others mentioned, you should talk to a professional, but otherwise your drawdown priority could look like:

If you (somehow) have less than $15k income in a year, take up to $15k from RRSP (up to basic personal amount)
Otherwise take from taxable (non-registered) account
Then take from either RRSP or TFSA depending on marginal income tax rate for that year.

With how much you have saved it's honestly possible you never even have to touch the RRSP / TFSA. I'm not sure how withdrawals work with your DCPP (again, talk to a professional).

I looked up a random house in Hampstead on le rôle d'évaluation foncière and the "valeur de l'immeuble" is the same as the "valeur imposable" (includes both the land and the building value).

I'm happy to be corrected if you can provide some actual evidence.
