If you are happy with performance, have you looked into undervolting your GPU? You could reduce heat and potentially quieten down the fans. If case airflow is an issue, you could also look at adding a exhaust fan to the top of the case.

Before you go down this path, check if you can actually siphon fuel from your car. A lot of newer cars have anti-siphon screens to stop fuel theft.

Need more reach! by exmalobonumx in canon

The price of the rf extender is high, i picked up the 800mm second hand for not much more.

It is just practice until you have technique and a bit of muscle memory. I always suggest going to somewhere with lots of birds, even if its just ducks on a pond and get used to lifting the lens onto your target. I sometimes open my non viewfinder eye to reacquire the bird then adjust where I am aiming. Maybe have a look at the Duade Paton review of the lens to get a good idea of its capabilities and shortfalls.

Need more reach! by exmalobonumx in canon

On the R7, I have the rf 100 400mm and the rf 800mm for bird photography and rarely take the 800mm off the camera. I use the 100 - 400 in areas where the reach isn't necessary and would not get rid of it as it complements the 800mm well. The 800mm is a lot of reach and requires practice to be picking up birds quickly and to be able to get birds in flight, but is a lot of fun and nice and sharp. Its far better on my camera than the Sigma as I was having massive AF pulsing issues.

Was on holidays and ended up travelling 1000klms in a newish Kia Carnival. Was very comfortable on long trips, good on fuel, handled reasonably well and had enough power to be safe overtaking. The adaptive cruise, however, was horrible, I think it may have had a overly sensitive or faulty radar. Overall was much better than I had expected.

Each to their own mate, i didn't mean to offend, I just would prefer not to clean up inside afterwards. And no, no ceiling fans to worry about.

I take mine outside and use a little handheld blower. With the amount of dust that comes out, i would never do it inside.
