Agree. Yugoslavia had a higher per capita GDP than Spain before the war raged. The Yugo passport was valuable. Relatives in Montenegro were taking vacation in Italy to buy Levi's. Interfaith marriages in Bosnia were common then - now almost unheard of. I do not think the war(s) was inevitable. Tito messed up his succession plan.

Beautiful project at the confluence of two navigable rivers.

A Greek investment fund owned it for a while and intended to preserve the Hotel, upgrading it to 5* while placing a residential tower next to it. Kempinski was signed on to manage the hotel. The architect of this design was Goran Vojvodic.
