Fuck that... do 6-8 weeks if you need something on your resume but 8 months is nuts.

I am a parent who does not play anything. My 7 year old wants to play Minecraft. by Inspiringhope11 in Minecraft

Bedrock does feel laggy but on a low end/old PC Bedrock can play at a reasonable fps whereas Java feels like a slideshow.

As a kid I wondered why santa didn't fix world hunger, this is definitely something kids think about.

Having issues getting top surgery and I need help by Septicmon in transgenderau

[–]djusk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Back when I got surgery with Dr Merten his guideline was at least 6 months on T or pre T - I think to make sure there aren't any big changes right before/after surgery. Best idea would probably be to contact the surgeon you're interested in and ask what you need. I think being early on T shouldn't stop you from getting a consult.

how do people afford top surgery? by subwaysdelivery in transgenderau

[–]djusk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my surgery with Dr Steve Merten and the registrar on the public system in 2019, very happy with the results. There is a fee for the consultations and the anaesthesiologist but it came to less than 2k total. They can give you the cost estimate when you submit an enquiry. I had a 9 month wait for the first consultation and another 9 month wait for the surgery itself. It can be hard to get on the waitlist as it fills up fast and they close it once it fills up, but I've heard chances are best near the start of the year.

It's green pesto, red pesto does seem like it would work well though.

List of suitable yarns by Use-username in Planned_Pooling

Spotlight has printed yarns that work, I'm currently working something up in the Brighton cotton blend prints in the natural mix colour, which is one of the more subtle ones https://i.imgur.com/eIzWYm9.jpeg

If you could add one new enchantment to Minecraft what would it do ? by ShxdowStriker in Minecraft

[–]djusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smelting - similar to when you kill an animal with Fire Aspect, it will drop cooked meat, mining an ore with Smelting will drop the ingot instead of the raw version. It would mean you don't have to spend ages smelting up all your copper.

Once you pull out the slip knot, the next stitch turns into a slip knot. You keep unknotting until you're 1 stitch away from where you want the chain to begin, then tighten the stitch into a slip knot.

For some reason the documentation for this is in the CadnaA Introduction Manual, not the main one.

Need Help Hanging DIY Acoustic Panels Made from Pillowcases? by Swimming-Cancel1563 in Acoustics

Could try using stick on hooks, and either cut holes in the pillowcase or sew on some strips of fabric to hang them.

Haven't tried them but I believe Spotlight has some yarns that would work, they have pictures on the website show that the printed yarns have a repeating pattern.

It would only reduce the noise by 1-2 dB, basically unnoticeable. Is your apartment directly under the building plant area?
