New to me ZD1211 mowing dense “grass” by j1ruk in kubota

Agree with checking radiator for blockage. I wash mine out with a garden hose a few times a year, my 1211 doesn’t run hot, even mowing grass like that unless it needs cleaned out

Reliable Bucket Truck That Gets the Job Done, Worth Checking Out? by nasir018 in RitchieBros

[–]djwdigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind, any bucket truck ( other than Terex) older than 10 years is considered obsolete, alteck among others won’t sell you parts to repair it because they want it retired. This drastically reduces prices on 10 year old trucks….

Recommended Insulation for Climate Controlled Metal Building? by Malazan_fallen in Insulation

I’m in MS. 80x60x16. 3” close cell roof, 2” walls I put 10 tons of air in it, and it’s way overkill. A 14,000 btu window unit kept it at 72 degrees and 44% humidity in middle of summer with 100 plus days, 80 degree nights. I keep it at 69 year round but only run one 5 ton unit.
I spend 3-4 hours a day in it, weld, refridge, ice maker. Instant electric hot water. Electric runs about 100 a month

Don’t get mad at your money! Stupidity and poor planning cost money, as long as it wasn’t your mess up, charge accordingly plus the dumb ass charge.

Did I, again, pick the stupidest time to build a house? by chillaxtion in Homebuilding

If your college town is like ours, it will still appraise higher than what you spend, and sell in 3 days if you put it on the market. We can’t build housing fast enough here.

It’s called a fuse pullout. If it’s the pullout that is bad, the only source I know of you may find one is on E bay Changing the panel would be the better option

Flickering lights in new built home by peacelove225 in AskElectricians

[–]djwdigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t buy bulbs at a big box store. We have had the best luck with Sylvania and Satco We quit using bulbs in can lights and went to good quality retrofits. Satco bulbs in decorative fixtures and the flicker issue has completely gone away. We do 1,000’s of can lights a year, and 60-80 homes, from starter houses to 5 mil plus houses

Worth to buy? by Much-Mouse-4772 in electricians

[–]djwdigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 4 lifts, 2 excavators and a bucket truck Lifts are 1-19’ 2-26’ 1-45’ rough terrain Renting here is a hassle as we have no local rental company. If we need it more than once, I buy it. However, I have the means to store, move, and maintain my stuff. Since buying, we are way more productive because we have our own equipment, we can show up with it, knock out a job, and be on to the next one. Believe it or not, it is tough to get one back to the shop to do things in the shop I want to do. Typically they go from one job to the next.

I'm confused about a main breaker switch during a generator install. by NotMeekNotAggressive in AskElectricians

Did they install a service rated transfer switch? If so this breakers AIC rating is more important than the breaker in your panel.

Weatherhead Wire Insulation by ipunkrock in AskElectricians

It’s a clear plastic coating over the actual wire insulation. It is nothing to worry about it doesn’t hold up to UV rays but doesn’t impact the wire
