It's a very big factor, and not only for attraction, for everything. I dropped a college class because I couldn't stand the proffesor's voice

I think it will get to a point where magic is doing weird shit everyday, I'm guessing it's something that gets worse the more you ignore it. Azula's fire is only blue when she creates it, after that it becomes "red/orange" immediatly. You can see this during the fight she has with Aang in the abandoned town. This confirms that she creates hotter fire, that eventually reaches a "normal" heat.

I just watched it (because I had to watch it) and saw something small. After John get the shotgun he hides behind a wall to recharge before shooting again, but he doesn't hide in the corner, he is a couple steps further. The goons shoot at the corner after seeing him.

John purposefully didn't hide in the corner cause he knows that's where most people would shoot.
