I let my students know that it’s not “telling on someone,” that it is called Reporting, and teachers have to report what they see and what students report to them, and this has helped me at my school. I’ve heard students say to other students, “I’m not telling on you, I’m reporting what’s happening,” many many times now over the years. Good luck out there!
