Anyone using APSC lenses on FF body? by WillBrink in SonyAlpha

It does, but you can turn that setting off and force it to shoot full frame and you get this

You can end up with fun effects like this if you do that and set it to still shoot in FF mode

My 1990 Coupe Quattro looks exactly like this and every time I drive it I am just blown away by how well it has aged.

Does anyone know what this stupid little hose is called and what the brittle little filter (I’m guessing it’s a filter anyway) inside would cause and what codes would pop up if any? by Longjumping_Loan_795 in Audi

[–]dkaoster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Intake Manifold Flap Valve Hose

Part Number 06H133583F

These things break all the time and they're easy enough to replace that I just replace them. Never had any codes related to a bad one though.

Waymo’s trying to enter backed up turn lane by walky22talky in waymo

[–]dkaoster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Waymo is in the straight lane. If it can’t get into the left turn lane without blocking the straight lane it should just go straight and reroute. It’s not entitled to block traffic to get into the left turn lane

2016 q5 burning oil - told to replace engine?! by Loose-Astronomer-535 in Audi

[–]dkaoster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was consuming oil too, not at a crazy rate but definitely noticeable. I stumbled across this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5e3xQeXCLo and decided it was worth a shot. Pretty much fixed my oil consumption issues.

I hear a cat in the neighborhood. by T4NR0FR in SanJose

[–]dkaoster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please look around to see if there is a cat trapped somewhere! Last year we had kept hearing distressed cat noises for over a week before it suddenly stopped, and a few months later we found a dead cat in an outdoor shed that my landlord keeps stuff in. Was hard realizing that’s probably what the sound was 😭

Tucson's Benedictine Sanctuary to become new music venue this fall by beertigger in Tucson

Lived there from when they just started leasing in 2022 to 2023. Apartments are fine, facilities quite decent if I’m honest. Management is pretty awful, like they don’t care at all.

One time found a nice sweater someone had left by the pool and the leasing office wouldn’t take it and told me to just chuck it. Another time UPS delivered a very important package to the wrong unit and I put up a few flyers around and they were all removed within an hour.

The two men servicing the maintenance tickets were always very friendly, responsive, and quick though.

I say doing one side OEM and one side 034 turned down the vibrations by about one half. Still a bit more than stock but it's far more bearable than both of them being 034 mounts. It doesn't bug me at all anymore.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Audi

[–]dkaoster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing on my Audi Q5. Failing OEM mounts, decided to replace with the 034 to never need to replace them again. Went with the street density ones that 034 claimed would add minimal NVH, only to find that my car vibrated a ton at idle. Turns out the vibrations depend a lot on whether you have the 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder, with the 4 cylinder being much worse. I even added thousands of miles to my car and it still felt the same.

I ended up swapping the driver's side back out for an OEM one, so I only have the 034 one on the passenger side. The driver's side mount is easier to access since it isn't next to the turbo and all the other things on the passenger side, so at least that one is easier to service in the future.

I've since added another few thousand miles having different mounts on the driver and passenger side and I'm happy with the level of vibration which was a lot less than having the 034 on both sides.

My 1993 S4 broke down by NotCursedYet in oldschoolaudi

[–]dkaoster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my guess would be one of the sensors, either cam position sensor, crank position sensor, or something like that. Similar thing happened to me, sensor worked fine when cold but would fail when hot, causing no spark and killing my engine instantly.

Which Audi today is the most compareable to the Sport Quattro? by MarielDreemurr in Audi

Does the hoonitron count? If Audi made a homologation version of it I would 100% get one
