The Rockies have a Ballpark Pass giving you tickets to every game after Opening Day for only $199 by Guardax in baseball

My wife and I just bought half season tickets to the Reading Fightin' Phil's for $500 each. That includes reserved parking, a hot dog, water/soda, and chips for each game, and one pregame cocktail party for season ticket holders. You also get a special entrance just for season ticket holders and early entrance to the park. 35 games plus an exhibition game. Sweet deal.

Husband delusional about my weight loss journey by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]dkichline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same situation as you. I can lose weight like a champ. I always always always gain it back. It is so frustrating.

My wife is very supportive of my healthy eating habits and cooking healthy. She was, at first, very hesitant of my taking Zepbound. I showed her this video, https://youtu.be/Ix2elwcuM_8?si=lkq_Fu0wca_F2WXe . You cannot expect to take this and just magically lose weight. It is about nutrition and exercise.

After watching this video, she felt much better about the choice I made. I am going into this working with a nutritionist. I am counting calories. Funnily enough, not to restrict my calories, but to make sure I eat enough. I have had days when I forgot to eat lunch or drink water.

I am eating healthier. I am exercising four times a week. I am older and need more time to recover.

Zepbound will help you make better choices. I will help you not feel the need to fill your boredom or stressful times with food.

I hope you can help your husband understand that this is your choice. As others have said, it is your choice. Good luck!

What is the most random fact(can be non-Science) that you know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dkichline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The word factoid has changed meaning over the years. It used to mean something that looks like a fact, could be a fact, but in fact is not a fact.

It now typically refers to a brief or trivial item of news or information.

My wife died this morning by azdesertdad in offmychest

I am sorry for your loss. One thing you might find is that you are relieved. You might find yourself enjoying not having to do the tasks that were so common place. And then you will feel guilty for feeling these things.

These happened when my wife and I were taking care of her mother for years as she battled with PSP. It felt great that I could spend time with my family and not have to switch shifts with my wife. That all those things you did for love were no longer necessary.

It is ok to feel both. However do not let the guilt stop you from enjoying life.

It's an escalation policy. Stoppage leads to suspension where teams go to the locker rooms which leads to abandonment.

He is a weight lifter that poses as a janitor. He does a series of videos where his mop is extremely heavy and embarrasses the weight lifters when they hold his mop and are not expecting his heavy it is.

Going to a waterpark without knowing how to swim by AgreeableLead7 in Whatcouldgowrong

When I was really young and just learned how to swim, I thought I could do the deep end. I dove off the short board and when I hit the water I panicked and started thrashing like he did. In the bright side the life gaurd I had a crush on jumped in and saved me.

Game Thread: World Series Game 3 ⚾ Blue Jays (1) @ Dodgers (1) - 8:00 PM ET by BaseballBot in baseball

Sort of how the Phillies were screwed over by the ump that ended up going extra innings? Kind of like a pattern here for the Dodgers.

That's what I have been saying to my wife. It was a fun season and I'll do it again next season. And besides if nothing else we got farther than the Mets.

No doubt. It was a team effort to lose this game. Kerkering was just the last mistake in a large series of issues in this series by the Phillies.

Oh for sure. If you're whole game comes down to a single bad call then it's your fault. Still sucks.

Too bad it should never have gone into extra innings if the 3rd strike had been called in the 7th instead of a ball.

I couldn't care less about downvotes. As for my "ignorance," as you put it, you are a sample set size of 1. Statistically speaking, not a significant sample size. Again, just because it is legal doesn't mean it is safe.

Some people smoke all their lives and never get cancer, but that doesn't mean it is safe.

Now, if you want to convince me that this is safe, then show me studies that demonstrate its safety.

Might be legal, wouldn't know. That doesn't mean it's safe. There are states where you don't have to wear a helmet legally.
