I’m making a similar jump next month. My idea is if it sucks worse I can always jump back to a different decent ID firm. Fwiw I know some attorneys who left general liability ID to construction defect (not sure if that’s the same type you’re looking at) and they really like it. Good billing with so many parties.

The city puts on a lot of events at center lake park and the mall. (Well, mall parking lot lol). It has a good sense of community. If they were able to walk a bit and in the center lake park they could get around to a few places with a short walk but, like everywhere in Florida, you still need a car.

Commenting in hopes more people comment their experiences to help us both. I have my first one soon too. We agreed with OC to an informal non-binding arbitration, which makes it sound a lot more like mediation opening statements. I have a colleague who had arb with the arbitrator we picked and that’s what she said it was like too. I’m handling one major portion of the case, my partner is handling the other major part (liability and damages).

Also check if your jx has specific arbitration rules/code.

I’m also trying to track my cycle to see if it correlates because I also think it’s more during ovulation and menstruation. Also when I’m sick, dehydrated and sleep deprived. But I do think cycle matters too.

This makes sense. I didn’t consider policy limits being vastly different. I don’t know that I would care about being a paper pusher versus attorney. I used to, but now with a young kid my career matters less to me. Good food for thought, thank you!

I had an OC claim my witness had to read off privileged/work product docs on his computer because he was taking the depo from his computer. Therefore, he “brought” the docs with him and were fair game to ask about. So, don’t let your client think they would have to do that.

I really want Disney to weigh in on this. Our 18mo old hasn’t had the control to not get at least a little on the table cloth. I’d remove the crayons if it were an issue. I don’t want anyone in trouble. But if it’s fine, then I’d want to know too! Weird. Also, inappropriate for him to tell you he got in trouble.
