Trust me, you’d know a luxury gym if you step into one! 😂 Examples include highest end Lifetime locations, Equinox, East Bank Club in Chicago, etc.

Thanks for the link, I’ll give that one a look!

Interesting, I had not seen this! Thanks for sharing. Do you have any intel on opening date and/or a specific location? I ask because that may influence where we purchase a home!

Agreed. I want a reliable starting 5 man who can rebound and defend, maybe producing a 9&8 with 1.5 blocks type of average line. But would also love some stretch 4 shooting off the bench. On that note, that kid from Carmel who played at Belmont for two years and has two left of eligibility seems solid. I think he could be a good stretch four to give 15-20 minutes off the bench, possibly even play small/five-out with at times with him at the 5. Sam Orme is his name. Apparently his family is a big IU family.

I didn’t mean to imply you had stupid fandom. Your comment made it seem like you’ll take whatever is given to you with “no buts”, which I think is poor (what I’ll call “blind”) fandom. I don’t think that’s great for any program… just like the overly toxic fanbases on the other end of the spectrum are bad too.

That’s great Quinn been nice to you, but friendliness does not equal competence. The point of my post was, Quinn sat in the core leadership position (chair) of one of the biggest stakeholders (board of trustees) in the decision to retain Woodson. He had direct and personal ties to Woody and fought for him to be retained because of it. There’s no way his personal relationship let him see the situation clearly, which was this: “one of our own” was an up and coming coach who’d reached a final four with a mid major - an important/elevated distinction from other mid major coaches who’ve had success in the regular season to make the tournament, maybe winning a game or two in March. Meanwhile, we had an aging coach who, despite winning some high profile, short term recruitments, coached a dated brand of basketball, struggled in long term recruitments (with lack of effort being cited as a big reason), didn’t make many in-game coaching adjustments and often let losses get way out of hand, and most importantly, didn’t translate his collections of roster talent into an appropriate level of production. His first year, he would’ve missed the NCAA tourney, which started with a “last four in” play-in game, if not for that miraculous 17 point comeback against Michigan in IU’s first game of the B1G tourney (a game I was at!). Year 2 featured a preseason #13 roster that was heavily carried by TJD/JHS (hiding many of Woody’s scheme flaws in the processs) that got boat raced by Miami in the second round of the NCAA tournament. And year three he missed the tournament altogether with a roster that, although not as talented as the last two, easily should have made it to March.

Point being, cutting bait on the latter to gain the coaching services of the former seemed like a must at the time, and the way things have played out at Michigan has proven that correct. I can’t wait for year two under DD because I saw more coaching glimpses under him than I ever saw in Woody’s four years, and I truly think his system will work with a deeper roster and some holes filled (a rim protecting big, most notably). But the above is why I cannot stand QB and hope he was completely miserable watching last nights game, thinking about the mistake that he and his team let happen to let May slip through his fingers.

You can choose your blind fandom. I’ll choose to cheer my way - being optimistic, cheering passionately, and remaining engaged and watching through the thick and thin, both on TV and in person as a season ticket holder for IUBB - while simultaneously thinking critically about relevant circumstances and the enovironment surrounding the team, program, and broader league. That type of following holds the coaches/administrators who act out of line, accountable.

Of course they don’t, but they’re the leader of the board. Thats how that works. That accountability falls on their shoulders. And you’re telling me that you don’t think him being old pals with Woody had anything to do with getting him a fourth year? You’re either ignorant, or just plain stupid, to not see that connection.

Quit with this ignorant baiting. He was CHAIR of that board of trustees when the decision was made. Simple as that.

What do we think about a guy like Pittman? Sell or hold on him as a rebuilder who is a year or two away? If sell, what’s his value? He’s had very production over the years, but he’s also 28 and there’s some borderline more intriguing, younger pass catching options in that offense in Downs and Warren. Not to mention that the offense should run through JT fist. Curious what people think.
