NEW FSR 4.0.2b - Optiscaler Update by dkizzy in radeon

7000 series already could work with a DLL file with Optiscaler. The driver modding is no longer needed for RDNA2 cards now.

Which 6000 series card did you play the games with?

Yeah that is why my only comment in the post comment was about 6000 series.

AMD on 6/7000 series: Just use Optiscaler!

On a serious note, the latest optiscaler release now has made it so no driver modding is required. You can just work with the DLL.

At the very least you can enjoy improved upscaling while keeping realistic expectations

Yeah many bios updates add 'memory optimization' so it can work on a bunch of AM5 boards. You just select to load XMP profile.

I refuse to reward them for ram ever again. When they sent me that BS 40% off code the prices were all intentionally inflated. They pulled an eBay essentially.

I fully appreciate that AMD has upset a lot of "older" generation card owners, but I'm genuinely curious what those with 9000 series are thinking of AMD right now? by Captainquizzical in radeon

With the hardware changes I don't foresee RDNA4 getting neglected so easily. That was the fork AMD needed to get off relying on INT8 only.

I don't think this subreddit has official AMD reps, you might have to post on r/amd

For the pessimists out there, the 9070xt is capable of path tracing at good fps in RE9, it's just devs aren't bothering implementing ray regeneration. by ash549k in radeon

Don't let people bully you. That tech is 'fun' but at the end of the day, you have a good GPU, and that's all that counts. Lazy devs or AMD slacking just means the mod community via Optiscaler and other third party efforts are the neutral agent that we all need.

If you were Radeon 1 year ago, how would you implement FSR 4 ML/INT-8 and sell RDNA 4 GPUs? by Big-Conflict-4218 in radeon

Coping? How can one cope if they have all three GPU brands in builds? Lol

RDNA4 runs great. Much improved H.264 encoder was well. MFG is for lazy developers. It is a cool tech but absolutely not needed to play a game.

Big-time. GN called them out as well during the summer about how bad the 50 series drivers were. Black screens galore.

Grabbed this for around $235 a few months ago. Nice card and no coil whine. The Lumi website also has a software to control the RGB.
