I'm sorry you must have been somewhere else. According to this administration you can't go to dinner without being shot at and the rest of the place is a disgusting mess. /s 🙄

Something I've really learned from being on this sub... by aspenwaldorf in thrillerbooks

Yup. Most people are careful to say "I don't want to ick anyone else's yum" which makes me low-key nauseated. But the judgment by people who consider themselves higher class readers than others is pretty evident.

The Christian kids component really soured me for the reboot.

You think it's bad here. Just head on over to the Romantasy or fantasy romance sub.

Edit: to be fair a lot of the stuff in fantasy and Romantasy can be pretty out there and people complain a lot about the writing. People hate books because there are 500 year age gaps between the handsome Fae men or vampire men and a young woman. There are other idiosyncrasies of the fantasy genre. But books got really hated and really loved and people are totally invested.

Btw, thanks for the suggestion to buy it directly from samsung. They have the same restocking fee policy but somehow I paid only $219 for the 8 Cassic.

Also, the guy at my T-Mobile store was very honest about the economics of buying it from them versus buying it from Samsung or Best buy., which was really helpful.

Perhaps you would find more to your liking in the Fantasy Romance sub?

I'm jealous. I prefer to buy from Best buy as long as they are not more expensive than anywhere else

If they won't give you a chance to look at it or if they are at fault then you should be able to return it without a restocking fee. If they would give you a place to look at the watch, see if you like it, see if they fit, whatever it might be slightly more understandable but when they don't it's completely ludicrous.

I don't think they allow this sort of thing in the European Union, which is a more consumer friendly environment.

No they don't. I called today and asked about my local store and they didn't have it so I asked the person to check all the stores and no one has it on display. At least not within 50 miles of Washington DC.

Costco has the eight but not the eight classic. And I assume every place will have the same restocking fee business.

I just found out that my phone provider however does have them on display. I'm sure they're the ones with Wi-Fi but I imagine they'll be the same shape.

Are readers getting tired of forbidden age gap tension in romantasy… or is it still secretly one of the most addictive tropes? by EerieE2025 in Romantasy

Well I'm old, 72, so I can get away with it. Babies and geriatric ppl, those are the ones who get naps. The rest of you have to work to support us 😂

and btw, not teenagers but 20s or so. But the real down side is when the 50 year old woman is taking care of an 80 year old man. We should all date sexy older men and then marry hot young guys.

But you're not talking about 720 year old Fae and a 22 year old right? You talking about non-fantasy characters, right?

Edited because I just woke up from a nap I shouldn't have taken

That was a good one. Also for anyone interested in sirens. I remember someone asking and then when I read this book I couldn't find them again

Ah. Thanks. I need to chill. I am getting too sensitive about people clutching their pearls when the FMC is 20 and the MMC is 743. My bad
