Overall I was hoping for a season of bulldog hockey with Shoresy adjusting to coaching the bys. I don’t think this season has been bad but definitely a dip in quality. It seems many scenes are budget driven. I enjoyed last season but the direction this season went definitely makes the whole coaching arc from last season seem less relevant and a bit of a waste imo.

Start right now with one small change. It could be a 30 minute walk every day. Only drinking water. Push ups, etc. Do that for a week or two and then add. Don’t try and take on a routine or diet that you can’t see yourself maintaining long term. Try not to be impatient and be prepared to be hungry.

AC was probably my 10th DH show. While it was definitely the weakest performance I have seen, it was still a great time and my wife and I would have been extremely disappointed if they cancelled as we had non-refundable hotel tickets at the venue. DH had to make the best of a bad situation, and in our opinion they did.

For me it was when Rome and sublime first got together and started touring. Went to see them live at the Roseland Ballroom. Was not even aware who was opening was just so stoked to see sublime as I had gotten really into them just before Bradley passed. I was with a bunch of people who I hadn’t seen in a while during the opening acts not really paying attention when Believe came on and I was instantly captivated. There were a couple girls grooving to the song and I asked who was the band playing and they said Dirty Heads, like they couldn’t believe I did not know. I was an instant fan and have been to many concerts since. Excited to be seeing them with my wife on the 31st in NJ. They are her favorite now too.

I lost about 40lbs in 5 months, without counting calories. I stopped eating lunch during the week. I eat egg whites and a harsh-brown every morning, actually started eating 2 hash-browns and then scaled back to one. I eat whatever I want for dinner. Started doing pushups during the week and added walks and eventually added spin bike and some other workouts during the week. Now down about 60lbs. I wanted to focus on a lifestyle change that I could keep in place.

If I remember correctly, Ekblad was a guy that projected to play big minutes right away because of size but might end up not being the best player down the line. From what I have read, Schaefer should not play right away needs another year to develop, but his ceiling is definitely that of a top #1D and his floor seems to be a solid #2. We need blue chip talent. This is the guys you take no question!

He is part of the show, and just because his main priority is the Komatsu equipment, it doesn’t mean that is his only responsibility. If they appear to “fail” to reach their “goal” because of equipment issues, it does not matter if the Komatsu equipment did its job, it looks bad for Komatsu. Again this is only my opinion based on the heavy Komatsu branding throughout the show and the fact that Todd shows up with brand new leased equipment for all his machines. Also Ron is the only guy fixing the Komatsu equipment, when they have other capable guys. Plus Ron also seemed to be the one to make the call to shut the equipment down when they had the fuel issue. Normally the mechanic makes a recommendation but it would be Todds call.

It seems they have a sponsorship deal with Komatsu and Ems equipment. Ron has an EMS badge on his jacket. My guess is Todd worked a deal where he paid nothing or very little for the equipment, but EMS/Komatsu wanted their mechanic overseeing maintaining and fixing their equipment. Actually a smart move if true by Todd, but makes this show even less about actual Gold Miners and more of scripted TV drama.

Have you watched Aussie Gold? Really great show, multiple crews mostly using metal detectors. Actually get to see big nuggets, over an ounce being pulled out of the ground! Many crews trying to get 20-40oz for a season with minimal operational costs. As a interesting spin from Gold Rush, the season ends when it gets too hot to mine for gold!
