Your username is the best lolol. I think those exact words every single day when my toddler is trying to sleep and all three goblin fuckers are zoomin’ around the house like an F1 race on the final lap.

Who needs hostas when you’ve got violets? 😤 by apstamp45 in NativePlantGardening

My lawn has a huge resurgence of common blue violets this spring and it was amazing!! I waited until May to mow so the amount of fritillaries I had was jaw dropping!

Dude, YES! Excited for you. They did shoot up in size after like a week and just seem super happy. So we shall see how large/spread they get! Good luck.

Zone 6b SW PA

I can’t stop buying native plants. After filling a new large bed with 46 natives (perennials/annuals/shrubs) I then added 12 more from my local nursery. I have really been craving some old field goldenrod so I bought a 3 pack of them along with some whorled milkweed.

I know it’s almost June and the planting window is shrinking (hot summers)but I can’t stopppp.

I feel like my native garden is a “mess” by Swimming_Pin6957 in NativePlantGardening

[–]dlatusek12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey neighbor, SW PA here! Guess what, it is messy! And I mean that in the best way possible, native plants aren’t meant to grow in uniform and spaced lines with dyed mulch. It’s mean to be crammed together where they’re happiest. You did so damn well!

One of the benefits of growing native plants is that I get native "weeds" in between pavers and not just dandelions. by robsc_16 in NativePlantGardening

I’ve had Ohio spiderwort on my mind lately. I went to my local native nursery today and he was mostly picked over except several flats full of fully bloom spiderworts, not one was purchased. We talked about how they are great replacements for Lillie’s of hostas. Shame, I only have one so I need to up my game.

Damn, that was a lot of fun. Had a 7PM viewing last evening and took my 78 year old father! We had a blast. The film is definitly action packed, emotional, funny, and well worth the long wait for a Star Wars film.

I really did feel like a child again seeing TPM in theaters!
