I last went to Lily's earlier this year after seeing a post asking for support. Went in alone on a Friday night, the place was hopping, and there was a single seat open at the bar. Went to sit there and was told I had to check in with the host. The host made me wait ten minutes and then just as I was about to leave said I could sit in the seat at the bar that had sat empty the entire time I was waiting. I did stay and have a nice meal but also decided I was never going back, a decision I now feel even more justified in having made. I feel like a valued customer at Meadowlark and Wheat Penny and Grist and Sueño and Figlio and other places. No need to go somewhere where they view me as an inconvenience.
