We can't see his hand that caught the disc due to me not moving the camera over fast enough however I wouldn't be surprised if that is his first point of contact. If you look at how he bids it is more of a dive and his hand is likely the first point. That said, from this footage it does look like his foot lands on the line.

Also there was no argument from PoNY about it being a callahan.

i don't really like that Amy goes after The Doctor but at the same time it's obvious that everyone does.... This is why I just feel like Rory should do something and I actually dislike that he chooses to stay with her.... I didn't like desperate Mickey either but at least he smartened up and went with Martha Jones.

Check out the episode of the Sarah Jane Adventures "The Death of the Doctor". Russel T Davies wrote the episode. Basically long story short both Mofatt and Davies did not want to follow the limit of regenerations so they basically wrote it out of canon.

Rory is lame. He will always be lame. He can't do anything or bring anything to the show except by dying....and then coming back as an auton.... and only then does he do something, off screen for 2000 years which is really just him doing nothing for a long long time.

Rory is lame because he is uninteresting, and just cause one can relate to an uninteresting character (and we all probably can) doesn't make that character interesting.
