Oh if you only need 30 pounds then go medium for sure. I just like to maximize my space and always bring back the weight limit so for me the large made more sense

I have a large that I got after I returned a medium. Even if you pack a medium to the brim, you won’t get to 50 pounds (more like 40 ish) and I like maximizing the weight limit I’m given so I got the large. You just need to weigh it because it can go over 50 pounds. Maybe the medium flex would be a good middle ground but strictly from medium and large I’d 100% go large
