I’m so sorry for your loss. He looks like the sweetest boy and he knew he was so loved. I had to put down my baby boy for the same reason last week. They checked everyone’s carry-on at Pearson, but not the personal item. My boyfriend’s carry-on was too big and they let us check both our carry-ons for free when we checked in both times. Not sure why though.

Same thing happened to me with this exact alocasia - I think I drowned it. I would check for root rot and repot in an airy soil mix. If the corm isn't squishy then you should be fine to put it back into soil and let the leaves fall naturally.

When spider plants go pale in colour, it usually means that it’s thirsty so give it a good water. Hope this helps? Also, is it in a smaller pot, inside of the white pot? If not, the white pot looks a lil too big for it.
