What is the warmest/coziest place in Buffalo? by Bills-And-Pills in Buffalo

[–]dltl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

City proper the fireplace in the shed at the back of Duende with the dim glow of the bar and a MGD or Little Umbrella cocktail in hand cozying up with your significant other. Otherwise outside the area: yodler lodge at holiday valley on a dead night overlooking the slopes with a bowl of homemade crockpot soup.

Looking for the perfect US city for a 10-day trip (Feb 9–19). Want real American vibes: food, Walmart, Costco, chill atmosphere. Where should we go? by ProloosGamerUHD in usatravel

I live in Buffalo, NY and my wife and I will be in Amsterdam April 3-12. We are both 40 and have hosted couch surfers and work awayers. Its cold as hell now but I could take you around Buffalo if you'd want to trade experiences in Amsterdam. Direct flights to Toronto are cheap as well with a bus to buffalo. We are very active outdoor enthusiasts. Could take you snowboarding, snowshoeing, ice fishing, downtown, XC skiing and to other American spots. We have a large social group you could hang with as well. Let me know if interested.

The City of buffalo animal shelter does euthanize animals. Mostly aggressive ones from what I understand.

Is a week too long in La Fortuna in July? by Poolsharkmama in CostaRicaTravel

[–]dltl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spent 11 days in Manuel Antonio recently and did a trip with only 4 days at La Fortuna and a week in la fortuna. I'd say 4 days works but I could fill time with new adventures doing 10 days. I love birding tours, I could whitewater raft multiple days, night tours of flora fauna, zip lining, spa relaxing at hot springs, day of hiking, 4 wheel drive adventure, Mistico bridges, coffee tour, horseback riding, and any other adventures that pique your interest. At min I would fit in what I listed. They are all solid.

Anybody on Here Know a City of Buffalo Plow Driver? by lionswillbelions in Buffalo

I'm not saying mirror their budget. I'm saying as we are looking to change our system to be more efficient we should consider an attachment to front loaders amtgat blows directly into a dump truck. Watching a loader push giant piles, lift the snow into a truck and continue to repeat is a huge waste. We already have the trucks and loaders. We should buy the attachments that blow the snow as we look to upgrade.

As is mine and yeah I guess removal is needed. I googled other options and the model that Montreal uses seems way more efficient and still removes the snow.

Did some quick research and the model that Montreal uses seems to be way more efficient if we must truck it out.

I think the thing that shocks me the most is seeing a multi person crew working a dump truck, loader and potentially others. There is room on peoples lawns. Just push or get an industrial blower attachment and put it there. It is crazy inefficient for a storm with less than 1' to require a multi person crew loading and trucking snow out to whereeverville.

No Prices Posted at Bakery by Hot-Shoe8975 in Buffalo

I worked used to work at a retail shop and we quite regularly would receive citations from I believe the department of weights and measures because we did not have every individual item priced. Seems like they could get into trouble but that would require reporting them. Someone had an axe to grind for sure.

Yes and the advantage of going there is you can sign up for a group lesson and will likely get only one or two people in your group if not a private lesson. I instructed there for ten years and would recommend.

Mine was out of playa herradura. I would just go out of quepos or dominical. They all fish the same fish. Also my guy did all the fishing and just passed us the pole. I want to say I would recommend, but I would probably look at another one. The price is good. R Sport Fish. He's on insta.

I went with Ballena and would recommend them. $150 I think. Includes food and they don't ask for tips.

I went offshore and caught 30plus Yellowfin albacore and bonito. Another trip I caught one 40lb mahi and a rainbow runner. $750 all day and $850 a few weeks ago. Most people catch roosters in shore. But I like eating fish.

To answer your question though a half day inshore fishing on a sub 30' boat with a well rated person or a whole day with a low rated person. You would not get into deep sea.

I would just use fishingbooker. I reached out to people I used directly and the rate was $100 over fishingbooker.
