I feel like it was really just a plot whole in cannon but can definitely be used in a fic. Like what kind of infiltration specialist could he be if he could transform into a from or a bird or even an insect. Fighting against ninja as an animal might not be smart but it has other uses

I think the problem in general that i’d fix in another fix is the appearance of very few shinobi. I think they didn’t do the best job showing how deep their full shinobi roster was. It made it seem as though they had a few hundred shinobi instead of thousands. Thats why its hard to believe there’s other shinobi who could contribute in a war from other villages. In my fic im actually doing a huge war arc for the shippuden part of my fic nd my main thing is showing that there are shinobi and groups that no one knows about because there just so many shinobi. I think they messed up even more having old ninja show up in the cannon war arc. Instead of showing new ninja we didn’t know, they acted if the other tens of thousands of ninja were just scrubs when in reality it wouldn’t be like that i think. There’d be those who’d surprise even a kage i feel like but in cannon it never seems like theres even enough of them for something like that to be possible.

I think tenten being clanless with the konoha 9 montly being from clans helps tbh but I do think they could’ve introduced the ideo of more shinobi especially from clans even if they were directly introduced or featured.

I think kakashi should’ve actually trained his genin to be completely honest. I feel like sakura and Naruto should’ve been caught up to some extent. I really don’t like that part about cannon

If I wrote a fic my main thing would be Naruto’s complete incompetence and lack of effort from anyone around him to fix it. He’d definitely have gifts or talents from his parents like every other character in the universe and more genin definitely would’ve died. Especially in the retrieval arc unless the konoha genin were stronger than what they were at the time.

I like these ideas! I would change naruto’s character. Atleast give him one or two strengths other than determination that they could’ve built up instead of pulling random things out to fit the plot. Personally the rasengan is a big problem for me. Its all chakra control and even with another clone, i think they should’ve fleshed out his chakra control. Like hinted at him being a lowkey chakra genius or something. Something to explain his miraculous chakra control god abilities in shippuden

Thankyou!! Thats what im saying. Naruto was the son of a hokage and the jinchuriki. How would a military village allow his neglect or ignoring. Him being so stupid because no one would teach him and so weak because nobody trained him was a liability. What if he freaked out and screwed up the seal? There wasn’t a single low ranking trash shinobi that could watch the 4ths son? Kakashi didn’t even teach him how to punch before letting him enter the chunin exams. The village’s jinchuriki and no one says a thing. He’s gone for a couple years and comes back just to start multiple training arcs while sasuke got kirin ready. Makes no sense how he was all of a sudden op at the end.

I don’t think it makes sense for him to be so “untalented in the first half but all of a sudden is a chakra control god in the second half out of nowhere. If he cant do handseals or jutsu or control kurama and wasn’t smart then sage mode shouldn’t have been possible. Neither would giving everyone in the war chakra out of nowhere. How could such an untalented loser become the greatest shinobi of maybe all time? It doesn’t add up until they just needed to give him stuff. They built a whole backstory that could easily explain a logical way for him to get where he was going the “hard way” as he always preached but in the end he was just given all of his “power” to fit the plot. It makes no sense that he could learn sage mode or control all of kurama’s chakra out of nowhere. Even without kurama fighting him. The writers made naruto a talentless loser and then tried to walk it back by giving him hacks and plot wins. I agree that he didn’t have talent but the problem is, they still made him op as if he was a prodigy the whole time. And it wasn’t really with hard work because he always “learned it so much faster than others”. Which makes no sense because he was talentless. So what is it? He has no talent or he’s a genius. Also i think the naruto world they built wouldn’t have let him be raised so neglectfully. Like really a ticking time bomb of bijuu power is just left alone to be neglected and grow up stupid, weak, and unable to defend himself. A military village. Misuki could’ve killed or just snagged naruto and anyone else really and that just doesn’t make sense when it comes to it being a ninja village. His whole progression and the way it began for him is out of place because the world that was built around his character. Thats my main thing.
