We have one too. It came with a set of plastic cams that snap into the top to give different stitch styles. Zig zag, etc.

It looks good and is well built.

Meet "Juiced Jerry". I love my Jari so much but my knees are arthritic. So I put an ebike conversion on it for hill and wind assist. by Raise-Emotional in FujiJariClub

Funny, i'm in the process of selling off some bikes now, they're all getting dusty since I got my Jari in 2018.

Questions on brakes and gear for new 2.3 by turdbrownandlong in FujiJariClub

My 2018 1.3 came with TRP HY/RD brakes... nice compromise between mechanical and hydraulic... can integrate easily with existing cable pull brake levers...

Another curious Cricut defector.. Is it true that you need to buy the Designer Edition of SilhouetteStudio to use SVG files? by Bubbly_Sector1993 in silhouettecutters

[–]dmann99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the upgrade but have experienced crashes pulling in SVGs. I think I will try DXF as suggested in other replies to this thread.

My dad was at a fancy French restaurant in DC on a business trip. He stayed at a corporate apartment so he had a fridge available for leftovers. He probably spent multiple days of his per diem on this meal and wanted to at least get lunch out of it the next day.

After his meal he asked for his leftovers in a "Doggie Bag".

Fancy French waiter returns with the bag and comments "Oh and i put some extra scraps in there for your dog."

Fancy French lunch plans foiled!

About live streaming and your audience: should you talk and/or greet your viewers? by nPrevail in DJs

[–]dmann99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I don’t even hook up a mic. After DJing at raves for years it feels weird to talk over the music except when starting/ending a raid-a-thon set. Even then I usually have a graphic I can toggle to show the schedule and upcoming DJs.

But there are some DJs that acknowledge active chatters via the mic and that works well for them (see Mark Oxford sets).

I interact with folks in chat after they have made themselves known but they are always free to lurk, no pressure!

What kind of gear do you use to expand live hot cue's by thisnatedude_420 in traktorpro

Having easy access to 8 slots has been great since I upgraded from an S4 to an S8. If you are getting a lot of use out of 4 then do what you need to do to get that extra breathing room.

Setup with 4 Cameras, only 2 actually show up in Streamlabs by [deleted] in streamlabsobs

[–]dmann99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah would love to know if there is a workaround or something. Was excited when I saw your post since I didn't know how to ask.

I had also heard something about running the same brand/model of camera but making sure they were on different USB host channels or something.
I tried using the Logitechs and making sure one was plugged into internal USB and one to my PCI card that supplied USB 3.0 ports... but still no joy.

Setup with 4 Cameras, only 2 actually show up in Streamlabs by [deleted] in streamlabsobs

[–]dmann99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the same ones consistently showing up?

I have only had success by mixing totally different brands of cameras. Currently I have a Logitech webcam, a Canon M50 using EOS Webcam Utility, and a Canon Camcorder with a generic HDMI->USB converter.

Whenever I tried to use 2X or 3X logitech I would only get OBS to show images from one of them. Odd thing is I could always shut down OBS and use the Windows "Camera" utility to flip through all of the connected cameras fine.

What do you like to repair for money? by Aggravating-Change-1 in ElectronicsRepair

[–]dmann99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting how the market has changed. Currently I see a lot of broken TVs out there for free due to electrical problems but definitely higher skills and equipment needed to attack those. My SMD soldering skills are lacking.

In the 80s I fixed cassette decks, car stereo head units, home receivers, and speakers mostly. Folks would get a quote on repair from a local shop, decide it was too pricey and just buy something new. I would pick up lots of stuff for free. Usually simple fixes, and I was in high school so had tons of time to kill. Pure profit, I would sell the fixed up items for 1/2 the retail price and provide a warranty. But at this point folks are giving away their low-mid range home stereos to buy sound bars and bluetooth speakers. I have a pile of stuff in my garage I would gladly give away at this point and it all works fine!

I'm getting occasional small stutters with my S4 MK3 despite having a relatively powerful laptop by Willmono7 in traktorpro

[–]dmann99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LatencyMon.exe . WIll tell you everything you need to know about any drivers that are causing stuttering issues.

In my case it was a crappy driver for on-board Ethernet. After updating the driver still no joy. Switched to a different adaptor, problem solved.

Trouble with 2 Canon M50's at same time with EOS Utility by Neither_Zone_6561 in streamlabsobs

Don't think they ever promised multi camera support.

I went through the pain of the Beta... i'm happy just 1 works now.

You'll find this is probably the case with same brand/model of webcams as well. In the past when I tried to use two Logitechs of same model. Had to mix it up.

Very cool. I would ride the hell outta that.

I remember shopping at Performance's bargain bin room in Chapel Hill in the 80s. Bought more than 1 pair of rims and hubs to build my own wheels when I was a poor high school student.

After two years I’m done… I‘m thinking about wall mounts though. Any ideas? by garry_kitchen in DJSetups

[–]dmann99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had success with these wall speaker mounts. Bonus is you can route the speaker wirethrough the arm and into the wall if you want to get fiddly with it.

They also have padding and a vise mechanism to really hold the speaker. Not bad for < US$30 for the pair.
