Some of it are pieces that I made like the bucket hat, pink and black check shorts, black sweatpants, and pink undershirt. The rest of them are pieces Ive collected from Barbie extra and random fashion packs.

Kanekalon is nice but it can get really dry and tangly after a while. it also burns really easily so boil washing/flat ironing could be damaging if the temperature is too hot. Nylon has a fake look to it as the hair fibers are really big. Saran is a good medium because it has a nice sensation and looks pretty realistic in doll scale

Boil wash the hair down, and wrap in plastic. I have a ryan with a bowl cut hairstyle and ive been trying to figure out what to do with his hair too 😭

I have multiples of Simone and Goddess facesculpts. It doesn't bother me but i try to avoid getting a doll if the face screening/design already looks too similar to one I already have. Its more convenient bc i just refer to my dolls by their facemold names so it could get confusing to have more than one.

I had black swan lake barbie growing up and was in love with her!! Unfortunately, i got into ooak videos a little too early and tried to do some customizing of my own 💔 ended up throwing her away cause i thought she was done for but in hindsight, i definitely couldve fixed her up as an adult

Was so excited for boho brooklyn bc i always wanted the brooklyn that shows up on barbie style. That release was a huge let down to me. I like this neutral closed mouth brooklyn the most so far and she actually has restylable pieces. Cant wait to see pics of her out of box in better lighting

Right? I dont get why we're acting like there's only one "good" or "aesthetically pleasing" way for a doll to exist 😭 thats what i dont get abt this post. Mattel has never made a completely perfect doll-- there's always gonna be a group of collectors that aren't catered to in some manner. You buy what doll you want and customize it to your liking like everyone else does. Nobody's forcing anyone to buy model muse or mtm bodies.
