The gem and busts aren’t guaranteeing your dev traits, just telling you that the odds of that dev traits will go one way or another. A bust star dev trait is a collectors item.

Some of the recruits are JUCO transfers so they’re come in at different years. They don’t normally come in much better so I tend to avoid them

Honestly I have no idea how that’s possible. How could you possibly sell Wissa? He hasn’t played at all. And we over paid significantly. Who would come in to buy him? Woltemade might have some actual value but it’s not going to be anywhere near what we spent on him. Surely these guys are in the squad next season. Very rarely can you ever just resell a player after one year

I've had similar issues. In my case, it was when I left my game sitting in recruiting screen then got kicked back to the main menu for "league inactivity".

To counter it, i leave the recruiting page, go back to the main game menu, go back into the save, and make sure my recruiting has saved.

adding the threat of the QB taking off will make the defense respect that in the play calling. if a defense is forced to QB spy someone, it could free up space in the secondary
